We’re back. I (Louis) am here for close to a week this time, so it’s a marathon, not a sprint. That said, it feels good to be walking down the same few streets 15 times a day again.
Ran into Throwing Fits’ James Harris at 24 Process, where I picked up a ‘90s Allegri light layer. He was then headed to see Rubirosas’ shirts, pajamas, and slippers at his girlfriend’s suggestion. (Exactly the place my host, Erica Schwed, urged me to visit last night.) Look at those taggeds…
Another Aspect knows what it does best—easy shirting, good jeans—and next spring there’ll be more of it. Most notably: They’ve doubled the size of their Made in Japan shirting range, given how well it’s done. But there’s also a Fritz Hansen furniture collaboration coming—Fritz designs, but AA fabrics.
Fabric-first Colbo will be releasing new colors for its most popular styles—the Office Shirt, the Half-Zip Raglan—but Tal was most excited about some of his more adventurous new pieces, like a beautiful cowl-neck jacket, styled two ways above, and a lightweight “wavy greige” set with endlessly adjustable wrist and waist closures. Not to mention the designer deadstock he snagged for this collection: ‘90s Zegna, linen-viscose Gucci and a jute Prada fabric that was once intended for upholstery but will now become a Colbo coat.
After 10 years of working only with locally-sourced jersey, Lady White Co. is moving into wovens also. “You’ve seen what we can do with jersey over the past decade,” sales director Taylor Caruso says. “Trust that we can take that expertise into wovens too.” Given the heat, I left thinking just as much about the Dry Lite T-shirt Taylor was wearing, as the linen- and silk-forward Kaptain Sunshine collaboration pieces.

Thanks to everyone who came to our gathering on Tuesday. I was wonderfully busy catching up with what felt like everyone who has ever been in this column. Spotted that Saager Dilawri was wearing the Camper Pelotas—a favorite also of his fellow “How he wears it” veteran, Hugo Edwards. Two other HHWIs—Hampus von Hauswolff and Nick Dierl—were wearing MAN-TLE caps. Cartier’s Pirrie Wright was wearing Carter Young’s off-white chore coat, and I love seeing Jonah Weiner’s Deetjen’s Big Sur Inn cap IRL. Also in attendance:
