168: Black Friday is for the boys

Menswear deals that matter.

This newsletter never set out to be limited to “women’s fashion” or “women’s shopping,” but I’ll admit that in my own interests, I’ve let myself steer it in that direction lately. The last few sends (the Black Friday and early Black Friday sale overviews, the SSENSE sale deep-dive, my try-ons) have been, at times, girlie-coded.

But! Black Friday is for everyone—all genders under capitalism—and this should be a venue of equal commerce opportunity. If “menswear” lines your closet, this edit is for you.

In contrast with the volume of womenswear I’ve thus far covered, this edit is pretty narrow, which makes it difficult to call out favorites. They’re all favorites. These Magliano trousers feel important, though, as does this Auralee goatskin pullover I’ve watched for some time. Connor McKnight’s black ski fleece redefines the category, and here’s a great pair of The Row boat shoes I didn’t even include below because there are so few sizes left (hope they’re in yours). If not, maybe this The Row knit polo? Or a pair of Salomons?
