All this for what tho? To stay relevant? I’m tired just looking at it all!! Not fair that women have to go broke buying this stuff capitalism says we need but then we have to spend time putting it on and thinking about our own beauty the entire time?? So sick of getting tricked into thinking “self-care” (aka buying stuff and contemplating my attractiveness 24/7) will help make me feel satisfied. Let’s maybe all consider what we are afraid of here… getting wrinkles and getting old? Did our grandmothers do that? Were they loved? Think about it now. See? Not so scary!
While I just walked away from beauty editorial — too many desperate press pitches and chaos of product overpromises did me in — I have a substantial amount of product still lingering in my bathroom. I am a minimalist since in utero, so it goes against my DNA to hoard but there are some things that actually need to be done. So I am with you here on more steps...I find dry brushing is essential, along with multiple SPFs (home, car, traveling) as this is the only skincare that actually prevents the breakdown of skin as we age. I love the Omnilux mask, but it's the sauna blanket that is my new true love. And on and on...
‼️Just a quick comment on your reco for Vanicream shampoo because it contains zinc (possibly good for hairless). I think you are possibly referring to the ingredient pyrithione zinc - but this is found in the Vanicream DANDRUFF shampoo, not regular shampoo. Also to note, this ingredient is banned in Europe. "As of March 1, 2022, Pyrithione zinc has been banned in cosmetics across the EU due to its classification as a Category 1B reproductive toxicant by the European Chemicals Agency." (https://dandrx.com) As many of your readers may be of child-bearing age or pregnant, I thought this might be useful to share.

I didn't know red light therapy is best in the mornings—switching up my routine now! I have the same LED mask but have been using it in the evenings.
Also a fan of Amlactin—unsexy, utilitarian, and way more effective than anything else I've tried…
