everyone go brush up on choice feminism for the love of god. depoliticizing women’s choices is deeply antifeminist actually. getting your bag by using that depoliticization to market fringe medical services as “wellness” is something even worse. there is maha slop everywhere for those with eyes that wish to see. notable that your examples of trickle down treatments disprove your point: red light therapy and botox were introduced for medical purposes first, rather than into cosmetic contexts with some self indulgent rationale that this would somehow ultimately make services accessible to those who actually need them. blurring the elective-essential divide indeed.
Hi Laura, is it possible that the high touch writing could be another newsletter? You know how some writers have 2+ newsletter and you can choose to subscribe to one, or both? It can be quite triggering for some to read these topics about beauty. Selfishly asking because I really enjoy magasin, but body modification content isn’t the best for my mental health and I had to unsubscribe once I saw the lower bleph post. I think there are some people quite interested in this content, but I’d hate for the people that feel closer to how I do, to feel ostracized or pushed out from magasin. I’d love for you to consider this ❤️ I know the says you can toggle subscriptions, but right now there’s only magasin as an option
hi em, you should see three boxes in the link in the post that say magasin, high touch, and new chat threads. you can just slide the high touch one off! let me know if that works?
What I appreciate about this is that it doesn’t reduce aesthetics to morality. Women are usually expected to either reject beauty entirely or obsess over it privately. Very little space exists for nuanced conversations in between
I enjoy magasin so much but would not like to subscribe to high touch. Is it possible to get off the mailing list for high touch without unsubscribing to magasin?
Currently photoshopping a photo of Laura Reilly in the style of Che Guevara with the beret. Chaura Reilly.

I’m on the app, so I’m not sure if that’s why but I don’t see those options. Everything is just under Magasin for my view
very much here for this
