I spent the last week wearing Upstate clothes, which is a fun kind of drag to step into mid-fall. I’m not a gorp girl, so the outdoorsy pieces I have are the ones intended to complete the package, for the most part…more mix-and-match than endless wardrobe.
Top marks go to the fur-lined Morjas boots that can walk through farmland all the way to dinner, the Literary Sport quarter-zip with thumb holes that’s slim but loose (I wore it under fishing waders), the Keen hiking sneakers Nir bought in duplicate for himself so we have to coordinate who wears theirs when, the &Daughter v-neck sweater already several falls deep, the airy Canada Goose quilted liner jacket (any will do, but this is mine and it’s served me well), the Veilance rain shield that’s done a tour at PFW but lives most comfortably on a trail hike, the Le Monde Beryl outdoor slippers for trudging down to the barn with your morning coffee. Nice to do memory-making things wearing clothing that feels uncomplicated and is done right.

I keep an eye out for Nereja’s new releases each winter, not only for the product itself—re-worked vintage furs out of Russia—but because the styling shows me how the more advanced dressers in New York are going to be putting together looks a month from now. Collection 24 landed on IG last night, showing satin-backed pelts crafted into coats, jackets, capes, anoraks, collars, etc. worn in a Miuccia-like fashion—more shrugged-off and accidental compared to past seasons that leaned carefully Old Hollywood or Art Deco, or even LA tomboy. Teaser images of ‘90s-era Chloe Sevigny and Kate Moss pairing their shaggy furs with knits and cord chokers posted to the Nereja account set up the It-girl eclecticism that’s a staple on the Prada and Miu Miu runways, which Nereja’s tundric nativism parses to imposing mink, astrakhan, and fox with a credibility that’s not easy to achieve. Contact them via WhatsApp to inquire, coats are $5k-ish and up.
Phoebe Philo continues playing chess, not checkers. With the most recent interval of Collection E, the designer debuts silhouettes that others might relegate to the sale rack. The 2016-era hooded, cropped bomber got Philoified! She made wader overalls sexy! Sculpted from liquidy pearl satin, this maxi t-shirt dress easily becomes ethereal. And then there were things never seen in couture, like these tux trousers with a train and this furry, Hefner-style belted robe coat. All in all, another Grandmaster-level drop from PP.
Two exclusive capsules are now live on MyTheresa. First, there’s a tres-beige Brunello Cucinelli winter edit for men and women. The brand prides itself on knitwear, so the offering is laden with wool polos, mohair winter accessories, and cashmere turtlenecks (the bungee cord keeps things interesting). MyT has also begun rolling out Mugler’s Re/edit collection, for which the house is reinterpreting its signature archive pieces. The skirt suits, in both ruffled charcoal pinstripe and an honest-to-god black? Exaggeratedly tailored. The hips on this velvet bustier gown? Padded. Obviously.
What do princesses party in? Moda Operandi turned to friend-of-the-house Olympia of Greece to curate a capsule collection of soirée-wear that includes both a Connor Ives set with contrasting eggplant trim and a boudoir-y magenta Rodarte slip. Referencing the lookbook, we’re piecing together what Olympia’s into: voluminous skirts (feather-trimmed and tutu), oversized sunnies, and Louboutins being a few key staples.
The Reformation Holiday Collection was more whoa than I was prepared for: a sequin-crocheted racerback dress that goes alllllll the way down, for one (and it’s a big one), and the Veda (its longtime leather partner) pieces that include this leopard-print trench and boxy red calf-hair jacket. This lace top is pure Vaccarello, except its $168.
Finally, the first pretty Oura ring cover has come in the form of Aflalo’s Fall 2026 fine jewelry launch—the yellow gold cigar band is studded with a hefty diamond (there’s a reason it’s $7,500…). There’s also the Libertine pendant, a silver box necklace adorned with a bedazzled relief, designed to accommodate nicotine pouches (or anything fingernail-sized). Leandra Medine Cohen’s LMC masterminded these for Aflalo, in the name of beautifying our gadgets and vices. The new “balance between cigarettes and tofu.”
There’s also: Comme Si’s quiet luxury version of the Juicy Couture tracksuit, and more from its new Knitwear Collection; Birkenstock and Staud reunite to release cozy shearling clogs; I can only find these new sexy calf-length Martiniano boots for sale at Tangerine and Carmen Amsterdam (why?!); Fane does its first silk bag collection in ivory (bridal but also, whenever) and tux black; a super pretty-in-pink FW26 from Paris-based brand Rescha; Em Reitz’s new Nocturne collection of pleated tops gets T Listed for its architectural approach; and Rennes has some special stuff from Grey’s in stock right now, like this velvet flight coat and this canvas maxi skirt.
Men’s releases
Filson x Freeman’s latest raincoat collab is fit for fishermen and sailors alike (and the two brands are from Seattle, so they know rain). The former company’s waxed shell tech keeps dampness out, while the latter’s checkered wool lining adds a layer of insulation to the new Mackinaw jacket, which comes in two colors. Now that I think of it, I’ve never had a rain coat that actually keeps me warm as well.
Home releases
Holiday collections are officially hitting the home goods market. First, Sophie Lou Jacobsen and Justine Clenquet launched some really cute cocktail sets. Both the amber-bottomed tumbler and the Swarovski-studded Nick and Noras come with chainmail cocktail picks—they’re like jewelry for your olives. Speaking of, Olive Ateliers released its La Curiosité holiday edit, where it’s selling Renaissance Old Master-style wrapping paper and gift cards printed with pears. And Christine Gachot (of the namesake interior design studio) just published the ultimate gifting book, titled The Thought That Counts. She wrote about everything from gift ideas to present-wrapping tips—if you wanted to be meta, you could gift the book itself.
Maximalist and patterned rugs get a bad rap—people say that you’ll get sick of them, that they’re not versatile, etc. Maybe Christopher John Rogers was trying to debunk this when he set out to design 10 carpets for The Rug Company. Some elements of his new collection, like the Lattoro, are more graphic and geometric, but most are pretty painterly, and are named as such (Marker Test, Chalk Line, and Paintstroke being a few obvious ones). But by keeping all the shades pretty earth-bound, CJR’s rugs avoid kids' room-allegations and stay in chic-creative territory instead.
And continuing with the colorful gist, Pendleton has teamed up with Thuma to plaster its bright, triangular knits onto the latter’s headboards, throw pillows, and more. Considering Thuma’s most popular piece is probably its minimalist wooden bedframe, this collab is a different creative direction for the furniture maker. The sofa and club chair are already sold out, so it seems like it’s working.

I’m overwhelmed by the Net-A-Porter Private Sale, the first and often best phase of its Black Friday rollout, already—there’s too much good stuff. You’ll need to be logged in to access up to 50% off on classic Dôen (cardigans and dresses), 40% off the ubiquitous woven Santa Croc tote from Dragon Diffusion, and 30% off this wear-forever Toteme basic. But maybe this is a sign to take risks, now that these cinched-and-ballooned heeled boots from Margiela are $300+ off…
Uniqlo is hosting an Early Access sale through 11/11, including collab pieces from U (cheap Lemaire) and C (cheap Clare Waight Keller). It’s a real quality-over-quantity type clearance that extends to bestsellers like the Pufftech vest (perfect base layer, or perfect for finance guys), these long-sleeved Heattechs in 14 (!) different colors for $25, plus a rainbow of cashmere crewnecks for under $100. As you can imagine, things are selling out as I write this.
So, too, is COS. It is 20% off sitewide, with the usual exclusions that tend to be pretty broad. (Can you really call it sitewide at that point? Oh well.) Still plenty of very buyable stuff, like a fine wool quarter-zip that’s catnip for my closet, a floppy oversized scarf jacket, a very elegant shawl-collar coat…it’s COS, so prices are great, most things under $200.
Okay, this one’s a bit of a scavenge. MyTheresa is offering 30% off through its gigantic private sale—the offering may seem a bit daunting, but to pinpoint a few places to start: You can take around $500 off both this chainmail Rabanne bag and these Tabi boots. There’s quite a bit of Chloé in the mix (a jacquard sweater, an XL Paddington, and this Delft-inspired ring) and some Dries as well (pants, crazy cranial embroidery). And for those inspired by the marathon, there are tons of sneakers from On and New Balance. Truly something for everyone.
Beachy brand Faithfull is having a private sale full of, as you might guess, resort-type looks. Buying two-toned strapless maxis, sweet string bikinis, or breezy linen pants may be weird when the sun sets at 5 PM, but come January vacation you’ll be thankful for the 40% discount. (On second glance, this prune knit is wintery enough—and nearly $70 off.)
There’s also: Fragrance heads, Nordstrom’s Early Black Friday sale includes a lot of great luxury scents (Baccarat and Tom Ford at 15% off, not bad); if you wanted to, you could get all of next year’s wedding attire at Tove’s archive sale; and there’s 30% off all the prep staples at Ralph Lauren’s Fall Wardrobe event.
