Glad I bought them the second I spotted them, because The Row Caden loafers are en route to selling out (especially in the exclusive dark brown color). They’ve already made their way onto rare-fashion scouting platform Sourcewhere’s radar.
I was thinking about Sourcewhere last night as I was scrolling The RealReal, contemplating Chanel bags on resale. When I ran into Sourcewhere’s founder Erica Wright in Paris this spring, just as the Blazy collection first dropped, her network was on fire grabbing up bags and shoes I wasn’t even able to get an SA to show me in the store (I have no pull there, I buy all my Chanel secondhand).
If you’re shopping for Blazy-Chanel, Sourcewhere is a good place to look. If you want a vintage piece from Blazy’s reference archive, there are a healthy handful of Karl-era Cerf Bags on TRR for under $3.5k—the Blazy Shopping Bag (resale price $12k) borrows its shape. This one’s down to $2,275. This one’s $2,200. I’ve ben seeing these out in the wild more lately, and now I know why. Also I just put it together that Chanel Cerf = channel surf? Maybe?

Going bagless is always an option. I was at the Kallmeyer studio googoo-gagaing their coming-soon vintage Prada-esque leather (very shiny!) purses, when Daniella told me they’re kind of ironic, because she rarely wears a bag herself
Actually, since we’re on the topic, Kallmeyer might make the best canvas bag of them all—smugly large and unapologetically high-maintenance as far as canvas bags go, screams “someone bring me a convertible in which to throw this in the rear seat!” A lot of words for a couple panels of cotton and skinny straps that you’ll definitely stuff with 2+ hair tools for an overnight upstate trip

What’s new
Alex Mill’s August Collection campaign was shot along a familiar stretch of Rue de Rivoli, with friends of the brand Alice Pilate and Jeanne Ducouraru embodying American-in-Paris loucheness: poplin sets, coordinated jersey separates, cashmere polos capped off by party flats. Eaaaasy, easy pieces so primed for fall that I can’t believe this is the same block I spent France’s record-breaking heat wave this June.
Aflalo’s High Summer 26 collection is now shoppable, and it packs a serious low-cut punch. Everything from the cobalt Ceslestia dress in plissé to the viscose silk Audra jacket is easy and lightweight without sacrificing any high-fashion sensibility. The standout looks involve the Lolana pant or Bromer short (essentially silk bermudas…genius) and one of the many tiny tops, like the (tastefully) midriff-baring Reysa.
Rachel Comey’s FW26 collection is basically grape-flavored, with a statement color palette recalling the original “Joker” comics or the inside of a fig. There are a lot of great knits in this winey colorway, like the V-neck Slate pullover and Matin cardigan, as well as the green-grapey grain de poudre Kassel blazer—imagine layering them! Hardware details get a little kinky in the best hard-soft way, with the riveted Vega vest and Alix skirt, and even a studded collar (?) for your inner freak on a leash.
We’ve got the FW26 range from High Sport, and you heard it here first: the non-summer equivalent for French lycra hibiscus-print-everything is straight candy striper. The classic Kick pant is now available in an ivory/red seersucker, as well as the Sara top if you want the full set. There are also Ziggy Stardust-y prints, like the cosmic paisley and viscose fringe dress dotted with little pink stars.
Still Here’s new 11 Jean: Described as a “sleek and feminine” fit, the 11 is a low-rise style featuring a slimmer straight leg, with the same minimal belt loop-less button waist as the Sport jean. It has a 34” (!) inseam with zippers at the hem so you can tailor the leg shape to each outfit.
There’s also: The first Rains footwear collection with grid-patterned soles designed for rain-slicked city walking; Cuyana’s System tote anniversary celebration with two new colorways, cherry and dark terracotta; a new tanga brief and triangle bra from plastic-free underwear brand KENT; the long-awaited and very ruffly V. Chapman x Kristopher Brock collaboration; and three new jeans from AYR: the YaYa, Culture, and Chaser.

Magniberg has entered the bath arena with a full suite of terry towels and robes, so your bathroom can have a bit of Danish modern influence, too. There’s the Gelato (solids), Wall Street (stripes), and Wild (animal prints) micro collections, each with hand and bath towels, a bath sheet, and a robe.
