The best part of Thanksgiving is NOT leftover turkey sandwiches or memes about turkey sandwiches, it’s texting all of your friends about what they bought! Adrenaline release from spending someone else’s money!!

Ruby Aldridge’s story about Frette sheets on sale (“They are selling the luxe percale set for $210. It’s normally $550 😳”) made it into the group chat, via . I’ve never tried these sheets but I know from haunting Reddit’s bedding forums they’re considered highest-end, peak aspirational.

got a “fresh bunch of my favorite shirt, white, blue, and pink” from Brooks Brothers’ sale (40% off). She also ordered a bunch of beauty from Amazon, but she said that was “unbecoming” lol.

Not quite a sale, but the great archivist + collector Ari Cho “managed to find some SS03 Junya for a great price and an SS04 Miyake set.”

The designer behind a set that I just bought (Saint’s Resort Set…not even on sale, I just had to have it!) Laura Jane Howard purchased multiples of Flore Flore’s Maggie Long-Sleeves in black and white, 10% off in SSENSE’s private sale.

ordered “Great Expectations” and “Anna Karenina” from ThriftBooks, whose “sale” is a kind of point bonus system neither of us could fully parse…is it like a loyalty card? A book trap?

(of Joshi/Greene, a new design brand I’ve covered who just put out this crazzzzy candelabrum) got a J.Press Shaggy Dog sweater (down to $234, an amazing and totally collectible piece—I honestly might get one now, too) and re-upped on Ghia Spritzes, 25% off.

tells me she “did a very naughty thing and bought the last Ginori soy sauce cup available in the color bario.. naughty bc I featured it in my (objectively perfect) gift guide, but wanted to give ppl the chance to buy it. They didn’t !!!! so I did as I boarded my flight to South Africa on Saturday evening—we all need a lil treat, after all !” She also bought her favorite (mine too) bras from Simone Perele, French-cut briefs from Negative, and a rorra (I had to look this up, it’s a water filter system): “too many EIHGs in my life +++ the ones I adore on this platform ( + ) have been blasting that it’s the perfect filter and im frankly very tired of spending hundreds of dollars on water a month (no, we don’t need to discuss further).”

Our collective sister, Sky Ting’s Krissy Jones also went the filter-and-intimates route, repurchasing filters for her Molekule, Hanro lace underwear, and Eterne terry sweatpants. She also got an Aarke seltzer machine! Happy for her!

, my Emily Weiss-garage-sale correspondent, bought stuff from Eterne’s 70% off sale, Cozyland PJs (30% off) for gifts, and a bunch of stuff from grove for the home. She added: “I also got Ann Demeulemeester Serax glasses for Pawel for Xmas,” (up to 30% off), and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t read Magasin so I’m not spoiling the surprise right now.

My consultant friend “may buy more Entire Studios sweats” (15% off 3+ pieces)—one of the only four brands she’s been known to wear, alongside The Row, Extreme Cashmere, and Supreme. My PR friend Juliana Goldman bought The Beatrice Necklace from the Charlotte Groeneveld x At Present collab (20% off), Parachute pillows (25% off), and some SSENSE swag: a Loulou de Saison coat (15% 0ff) and Amomento bag (52% off—down to $82).

A lot of home goods buys: , who “traditionally buys something for the kitchen,” bought a Le Creuset roaster in white for $209 down from $345. bought Zojirushi rice cooker (13% off) for his brother who “has another level of rice addiction! He eats rice with his pizza.”

From : “Babe all I bought was supplements from Pure Encapsulations—NO DISCOUNT.”

A lot of chats came back around to botox / lasers / etc. Center Aesthetics (who I find rude but tons of people go to) is running tiered deals for up to $2.5k credit, and Every/Body has up to 30% off. Mostly everyone was complaining they need a new injector.

Small-brand savant Miranda Levitt who runs M10 showroom says she “got a nice little convo out of it” after we back-and-forthed for a while about the sales and I ultimately de-influenced her on some pieces (oops).

I also posed this question to my Instagram followers, 36% of whom said they shopped this season, plus the Magasin chat got to talking about their buys. Multiple people got the Monastery red light mask (25% off) and pieces from Deiji Studios (up to 70% off). Some of my favorite answers include:
