290: A rich, umami broth of fall fashion

A good time to take stock.

I’ve been feeling a bit estranged from my clothes since the move. There’s not having a proper closet or a familiar organization system, and then, on the spiritual end, feeling pulled toward creative thinking in interiors over fashion. When I got dressed, I wore a variation of the same outfit—this is actually the norm for me, to have pieces or pairings I reach for that slowly evolve over the weeks—but there was the sense of too-high guardrails limiting my movement.

So, I did what’s good to do when you’re in a rut or the season is changing or you need to take stock of what’s in your wardrobe (all true for me), and I just tried a bunch of stuff on. Iterating, and failing along the way, honing in on new frameworks to call on the next time I have to get dressed to leave the house.
