Introducing Magasin’s pop-up Fashion Week newsletter-within-a-newsletter, where we’ll be covering shoppable observations from scenes of interest daily: New York Fashion Week, Day 3.
Day 3 is late because this morning, Oso flew out the window and we’ve been doing everything we can to find him and bring him home. If you see him—we’re in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn—play parakeet sounds and snap your fingers so that he flies to you. Sorry to use the newsletter in this way, but we really hope to find him. You know where to reach me.

Shoppable observations
Ana Colon was wearing her Coach Empire Bag to the Sandy Liang show yesterday, so I got to finally see and handle it up close. It’s great, honestly. Someone wore their Miu Miu version to the show, too, and I’m inclined to say I like the Coach version better? The difference in price is about $3,450… Ana had a little taxi keychain hanging off hers, with working wheels and all.
Also at the Sandy show,
brought up the very good point that you can learn a lot about how bags age by checking out the state of models on The RealReal. Apparently, Sandy’s “Teckel” bag doesn’t fare too well, but maybe its previous owner just lived and loved hard.I was chatting with Géraldine Boublil (you know her as @erinoffduty), and she says she doesn’t really shop anymore. Makes perfect sense when you’ve built up a thorough wardrobe and can loan things from brands. The last thing she bought for herself was a pair of I ♥️ NY pajama pants. Taste!
Party scene — Net-A-Porter at Eel Bar
There was a lot of pre-launch Rúadh on the premises—Jac herself was wearing it of course, as were friends of the brand Evanne Cochrane (also wearing By Malene Birger pants and a Savette bag) and Madelynn Furlong Hudson (plus a Frankie Shop top).
wore a Miu Miu sweater and her grandmother’s dress from the ‘50s. wore an Alex Mill jacket, CJR shirt, Raey cargo shorts, Martiniano heels, and jewelry from his upcoming collab with At Present. And Géraldine wore a Maria McManus dress. I spotted Neada Deters in an Aeron jacket, Amy Lefevre and Charlotte Lawrence in full Alaia looks, and Sophia Chabbott in Destree. I’ll also venture to guess that Vanissa Antonious wore Neous, CJR wore CJR, and Melissa Morris wore Metier.Magasin may earn some money if you make a purchase through one of the links above.
