215: I'll buy this Giorgio Armani leather jacket if you don't
Also—ever heard of this Prada-owned shoe brand?
Starting with vintage/resale, since these will be the first things to sell out, here’s a Phoebe Philo for Céline fur coat I had the pleasure of wearing while I was in Paris last (I borrowed a friend’s black version), and which I know to be reversible—it’s under $2,000 on Grailed, a phenomenal deal for anyone who’s ever considered making a purchase from phoebephilo.com; I almost didn’t tell you about this Giorgio Armani leather jacket (only $350! Doesn’t it look just like this Jil Sander structured blazer?) because I so badly want it for myself…if it’s still available by EOD today I promise I’ll buy it; the platform renaissance is coming for me, too, it seems, because I’m seriously considering these ankle-breaking Prada thong sandals; behold these ebony and mother of pearl clip-on earrings sourced by Studio Mantel; and The Row’s woven Gabriel tote is objectively cuter than a Margaux.
Carly looks so precious in this Puppets and Puppets sateen twill windbreaker, like you could ring her like a little bell; COS beat The Row to this excellent silhouette, which is basically a mini version of the Banana Bag that can be worn cross-body—it’s 100% leather and only $135; I can’t get over these MKDT pants; I imagined a version of this shoe a few years ago when a napkin fell on my heel at dinner one night and it looked like a dramatic babouche slipper—love Balenciaga’s shirtsleeve imagining of it; it’s not Alaia, it’s a Norma Kamali button-down bodysuit, and it’s $195; and great great jeans from (who else?) Studio Nicholson.
The “washing machine” pieces like this twisted long-sleeve that I loved from the Issey runway back in September finally exist to shoppers—Acne showed similar styles, and I’m seeing more in this vein from Sportmax, Lemaire, and Rick; these Dries bags look like upcycled receiver telephones, love; we must not be fed up with sheer ballet shoes yet because I find these Magda Butrym slippers adorable; Co makes a convincing case for the casual ballroom skirt; and there is a lot of leggings talk lately, but my preference has always been for the catsuit, I’ve been known to wear a sporty one like this from Free People with layers of button-downs and cropped jackets and heels.
Accessories report, I guess: Hello to these Christopher Esber mules that look like a Bottega bag; the Bottega mules I loved in olive are now in white (painfully me-coded—someone loan me $2,200); lots of talk about leisure loafers these days, but I’ve yet to hear anyone mention Car Shoe, owned by Prada Group and the maker of these preppy driving shoes; raincoats with my cosign include Kassl Editions, Plan C, and this Max Mara one; haven’t been excited about a pair of sunglasses in a while—nice to meet you, A Better Feeling; and Metier’s Incognito Cabas (also in Large) is putting the rest of the bags in its category to shame.
I may earn some money if you make a purchase through one of the links above.
