The SSENSE sale always ends just when we’ve become so comfortable with it being there. But as much as we might feel it in our bones, when we wake up tomorrow, it’ll be long gone.
With just over 12 hours left, SSENSE has released some of its deepest discounts on the least-likely pieces. There are straight up thousands of deal pages, and Private Sale in particular is losing the plot (in a good way, ofc).
So here they are, the deals deemed most shoppable by Magasin.
Of all the incredible Toteme available, it’s a bit of a joke that these elevated pajama pants have wormed their way into my heart the most, but there’s no resisting true love (and they have done the drawstring cotton pant best this season); but a single MNZ scrunchie left on sale, this fab iridescent one at $57; the Dries Van Noten trench foretold when the collection dropped is finally marked down, and at 70% off no less (can you imagine a greater shade of gray?); Margiela tabi boots for as low as you’ll find them for sure; it gets dressed up a lot, but I like to imagine a Simone Rocha dress like this with very casual flip-flops or loafers and a tote bag roaming the farmers market; and as we enter leather pant season, how’s about this vacchetta pair from Vaillant for 80% off?
It’s so refreshing to see a good, strong pair of plain old jeans—this Ganni denim carries the dark wash comeback well at under $100; I would easily believe this suede tote was Khaite or Isabel Marant if I couldn’t clearly see the APC logo (and it’s under $250); similar to all the jean noise lately, button-down shirts have become too complicated—love this Baserange Oxford that clearly fits phenomenally without so much extra fuss; this Flore Flore jersey dress is only $36 (!), and in fact the entire brand seems priced! to! go!; and in case you missed out, my Toteme blazer that’s heralding in the return of blazers is back in stock in sizes XS and S, and is down to just over $400.
I’ve been imagining outfits and outings in these Bless shorts for a whole season (maybe more?) now, is it time to bit the bullet?; this nylon Reformation shirt-jacket is down to just $32; on the subject of fantastic blazers, this smart, 80% off Beaufille number is a steal at $165; oh great, a new thing for me to want from my soft center…these Luna Del Pinal pants basically smell of patchouli through the screen and hit a nostalgic nerve than the ‘90s renaissance has thus far glossed over; and this deep-v Lisa Yang vest nods to The Row’s deep-v sweater, which nods to Hermes’ own deep-vs, circa Margiela era—except Yang’s is $124, and the rest of the brand’s sale is even more generous.
MM6 does tongue in cheek and subversion so well, it’s easy to forget about nail-hitting everyday wearables like this raw-edge double zip cardigan; love how seasonless this Jacquemus bodysuit is, whose sexy cutouts make it a trademark J production, without shoving the brand’s signatures down your throat; ‘tis the season of the dangly neck object, and this Lemaire key holder is only $76 compared to the brand’s $215 castanets; it’s been a very silver summer, year, start to the decade, by my gold-leaning sensibilities are coming back, as I gather they are for others—a Sophie Buhai necklace to make the transition seamless; and it’s a bear market for heels, but I’m going long for these netted lace-ups from Bottega, just $550 right now.
