135: The best summer tabis aren't even Margiela (and they're under $100)
A new Bottega bag, Benjamin Edgar's cigarette holder, and Collina Strada hot pants.
Named for the large, vertical newspaper format, think of this weekly supplement as a shopping cheat sheet cribbed from far-reaching corners of the internet.

There’s a new Bottega bag in town to absolutely break my heart—the Large Drop, which hangs discretely along your side like a luxury nubuck leather canteen; I wrote about Tory’s fall collection in this week’s news send, which is usually a way for me to offload my desire onto you, and yet I can’t get these pierced sandals out of mind; I’m usually pretty “meh” over straw bags, but I really appreciate the elegant top fold of this Inés Bressand one; I have to give credit to Colbo’s Eldar Hadad for discovering these linen Drogheria Crivellini tabi Mary Janes, which I couldn’t believe weren’t Margiela (for obvious reasons, I guess)—IMO they’re the best summer tabis out there and they’re even on sale for under $100 at Biffi with EXTRA20 (more sizes here); and a very Miss Honey hat from Toteme, it’s made of hemp and the floppy brim snaps up.

I realized I’ve been accidentally collecting a wishlist’s worth of trinkets for my trinkets, little objects that carry around other little objects: e.g. this cigarette case made by Zoe Mohm, available via Instagram DM; also back in stock is Benjamin Edgar’s “A Single Cigarette After Dinner” holder, an all-time great gift idea; then there’s the case of the dueling designer thing slings—The Row’s comb necklace and Lemaire’s castanet cord; and a jewelry-esque, made-to-be-seen, belt-loopable keychain ring from Wolf Circus.
and non-accessories to accessorize.
This galaxy-brain vintage Jean Paul Gaultier tank unironically says to me what this meme does: “Love be like, it will end in heartbreak or death / My partner in life, you make the pain of existence worthwhile”; a search for a while-back seen pair of crinkled pants led me to this new pair from Issey Miyake that are better than those I half remembered; this Loewe dress! I’m seeing it everywhere and I agree; that flowery Prada skirt from the runway, by the way, is fifteen THOUSAND dollars, which really puts these $550 Prada briefs into perspective (the perspective being that I want them); and another pair of basically underwear hot pants, these ones from Collina Strada, because that’s the move these days.

I agree with this Tory flats-gorgeous. Have you seen the denim blazer also in ToryFW23 collection? I keep eyeing it but wonder how to style it to make it a staple but not too fussy and keep it chill and cool. Any ideas?
the single cigarette holder and the loewe dress have me by the purse strings!
