128: Look Bode Boys, this burlap sack is $1,000 off
A comprehensive comb through SSENSE's 70% off sale.
Named for the large, vertical newspaper format, think of this weekly supplement as a shopping cheat sheet cribbed from far-reaching corners of the internet.

There’s only one pair of these studded Alaia brogues left and they’re about double my size, but I love them, and I want a lucky 41 to give them a good home; this weeks’ main characters, the Bode Boys and Girls, should do themselves the favor of looking upon this positively massive burlap tote, which is currently $1,000 off; it’s a bit early to realistically be shopping for fall, but my swimsuit and sandals hunt keeps getting interrupted by silky brushed twill pieces like this belted Toteme blazer (and these LVIR brown pleated pants); this Lemaire beaded vest is the kind of thing you see on the runway and then never again, but it was miraculously put into production for the season, if only for more daring retailers, and now it’s 72% off; the real, wearable deal from Lemaire, though, is this v-neck sweater for $126; and yes I have one more Lemaire thing, but it might be the best thing to buy from the entire sale right now—a mini camera bag so small and so sweet I just want to put it in my mouth.

Vaquera’s clothes are often fantastical, and this skirt holds on to some of that extremity with a high center slit while being immediately and dynamically wearable (you could probably successfully sub it out in whatever outfit you have on right now); i saw no less than three girlies on Instagram this morning talking about “headband summer” or some nonsense, and while I don’t condone that kind of “aesthetic” language, I’m dutifully reporting that this Sophie Buhai headband is now $88; perhaps a better investment from the brand are these Sophie Buhai earrings for an unheard of $126; you’re either wearing running shorts every day now or you’re desperately searching for the perfect pull-on pant, like these from Lauren Manoogian for half off; this knit Lauren Manoogian skirt may not be quite the same salve for the weather, but I’ve been specifically eyeing it for months—it’s sold out in my size so I may have missed my shot, but I’m considering sizing up and hoping for the best nonetheless; and it’s hard to express just how high-quality Ratio Et Motus’ bags are, especially as a relatively new brand in a market that has given a pass to many other newcomers whose leather goods look downright plastic…this one’s just under $400 and is just plain cool.
and uhhhh SSENSE
Love the Diesel B-Berny making a surprise reappearance for sale season, especially this mercury-dipped metallic version, definitively and defiantly styled as a skirt, not a belt; a Pleats Please twofer, both current-season—this zip-up jacket and bermuda shorts—that I tried on together at La Garçonne and absolutely adored, will post a pic to IG later to show you; ok so the BIG coup taking place at SSENSE that no one is brave enough to talk about is that all of the Jil Sander bags are scandalously on sale right now—the Victor bag shown here is 70% off, there’s a khaki Goji bag for 66% off, an oxblood Moon satchel for 62% off that’d be a great replacement to your basic canvas tote…just the tip of the iceberg, folks; the real hotgirl shit Beaufille bodysuit I’ve been wearing all summer is down to $154; and yet another scandal from the Jil Sander sale section—these knee-highs for over $1,000 off.
