025: The spillover sales we can't ignore
A few choice stores are giving Cyber Monday another day—and they're unleashing their biggest discounts yet.
In order to attract and keep shopper interest, one Black Friday/Cyber season tactic is to gradually increase discounts as the days go on. Another trick is saving the most hype brands and products for the last days of the sale. Both of these guns are drawn today—right after Cyber Monday, just when you thought there was nothing more to be had.
Take for instance, all of the new Lemaire that was just marked down at SSENSE, including this heartbreakingly good car coat for nearly 30% off. Nordstrom’s designer sale is full of Chloé bags and weirdo Balenciaga shoes. A thousand styles of the suddenly everywhere Coperni bags are on sale. There’s one more of these Marni dresses left for 60% off. The MNZ sitewide sale is over, but their CYBER30 code still removes taxes. An Acne Studios denim chore jacket that comes to under $200 with The Outnet’s sale-on-sale code, ditto this architectural, ‘70s-esque oversized blazer, for nearly $1,000 off.
The number of brands still hosting sales has overall dropped off significantly, which honestly, we can live with. But a decent collection of stragglers are making today wholly worth exploiting. Some of the usual faves—SSENSE, most obviously—plus a few new ones like Moon Juice and Saie deserve an open tab today, before the discounts inevitably dry up.
Here’s what’s still on sale (and actually worth it):
Moda Operandi: The Designer Sale is happening in a big way with discounts up to 50% off—Bottega Veneta for 40% off, Wales Bonner for 50%… it goes on.
SSENSE: Up to 50% off is lasting, with new designers and items added daily—latest to arrive are Masha Popova exclusives, more Rick Owens, and deeper drops on Lemaire.
The Outnet: Take an extra 25% off already discounted everything for, like, rly big discounts.
Nordstrom: Designer sale is feeling particularly generous with actually good brands discounted up to 60% off.
Moon Juice: 20% off everything—I can’t recommend the Acid Potion enough, and I’m also a huge fan of the Collagen Creamer and Super supplements (I take SuperHair).
