Can I say something? With everyone saying Knicks in 5 this week, I thought they meant a game was starting in five minutes. I’d assumed there were games happening like every few hours.

My Knicks night (I eventually figured it out), was spent within a small patch of lower Manhattan—starting at my friend Gray’s studio next to Balthazar where Olga Basha and Cafe Forgot were presenting a series of jeans damaged in enzyme wash and then reconstructed to highlight the silk-thread effect.

I wore Emily Dawn Long to accompany EDL to a CFDA cocktail event, for which she’s a finalist this year. The (next season) backless mohair top and spoon belt are why she’s going to win. Pants are Colleen Allen, a previous nominee. Heeled thongs are Aeyde, which I wear as often as my wedding ring. Bag is Alaïa obviously??

Swung by Rickie De Sole’s Air Mail party at Temple Bar and ’s Rich People Shit party at The Manner (good crowds), where a TV had been rolled in. I caught the tail end of the game from a taxi, whose radio had a lag and so I was refreshing the Google score box constantly to keep my driver updated. Arrived home right at buzzer. Knicks in 5.

What’s new

• We’ve got some more from St. Agni FW26, and it’s quite the transitional collection. There are classically pretty dresses that can be reframed depending on mood, like this recycled nylon halter and layerable statement tops like this backless wool cowl number (which would look great underneath this mélange cardigan). There are ample styling opportunities from detail-oriented accessories like the fringe belt skirt or woven tote, too.

• It’s a t-shirt! It’s a short-sleeve sweater! It’s a T-Knit from &Daughter! These merge the casual simplicity of a tee with everything refined from a knit. From afar, the T-knits look like mega-washed t-shirts, but upon closer inspection, the weight of the hand-linked knits comes through in their seamlessness. If the price didn’t suggest as much already (the short sleeve is $500 and the long $525), these are luxe.

• It’s actually not easy to look like you woke up like this, and every t-shirt-and-skirt combo in Toteme’s newest PF26 delivery is proof. The collection also includes a horizontal-striped tee that I (Maya) thought was relegated to the unfortunate twee archives. I stand corrected: In look 26, a black-and-white, French-girl jersey long sleeve, styled effortlessly with a flaxen hemp beach pareo, suede t-bar sandals, and tortoise aviator shield sunglasses (the latter pieces are still pre-order only).

• You can now shop Dries Van Noten’s AW26 collection via private pre-access link, from the embroidered cocoon tops to the sunset-orange velvet wedge pumps. Most interesting in this preview selection are the printed pieces, inspired by the marbled techniques present in Millefiori glass paperweights (see: the halterneck viscose dress). There is plenty of what DVN does best here, like tailored wide-leg pants and merino sweaters.

• The hand-carved collection by JH Editions is now live, and it’s a veritable feast of hand-hewn jewelry. Designed by Jess Hannah Révész in her Los Angeles studio, the pieces take inspiration from the singularity of antiques, incorporating reclaimed stones like the brown diamonds in this 14k gold shoulder ring. Some pieces are exclusive to DSM LA, while others, like this sapphire baguette signet, are available for purchase directly from the JH site.

• There’s also: New arrivals from Phoebe Philo’s Collection E now on MyTheresa (including her chunky flip flops); Jude and Nour Hammour both very quietly just launched bags; the mini soft Gear bag joining the tool bag-like silhouette family over at Lemaire; an asymmetric-check heavy second drop from CO Collection PF26; the new Fin y Principio collection from Après Ski, spanning hand-dyed painter jackets and sun-motif earrings; the latest installment in Still Here’s Colors basics dressing system, a two-button Henley t-shirt; and new SS26 arrivals from fashion’s Sporty Spice Martine Rose (the half-stretch football top is here just in time for the World Cup).

• Meet Michael Bargo’s rug collection for Beni, an array of floor textiles that are equal parts tiled Roman bath (the Niko) and freaky Y2K beach towel (the Jameson). 3daysofdesign begins tomorrow in Copenhagen, a place I am not. I did have an extremely design-y local weekend, at some exceptional venues, with a delightfully kink-positive through line, though. (Funny how fashion, the thing that actually touches bodies, hasn’t been truly “sexy” in years, and yet all good furniture lately comes from a place of being horny. Something to think about there!)

On Friday, Montez Press Radio hosted Daniel Humm, Emily Bode Aujla, Misha Kahn, others from New York’s creative elite to interview one another at the Judd Foundation. We weren’t special enough to be permitted to break the “no touching” commandment, and so I yet again did not get to recline on my ultimate impractical furniture crush: the black walnut double-back bench. But honestly, sometimes it is enough (better?) just to hear someone to list off the specs of a piece to grow the pleasure of desire. Say “patinated copper” again.

Sunday, I joined Knoll / DWR at The Glass House in New Canaan, CT for its annual Summer Party. The designer Dozie Kanu’s collaboration with Knoll, which I’d seen at Milan Design Week—leather fringed console tables propped up on platforms at a makeshift bar while people who quite literally go to openings for cans got sloshed on negroni sbagliatos around them, like some kink ritual—was completely recontextualized within the room’s serene, exposing walls…also totally perverse, as its architect Philip Johnson was openly known to be.

And finally, on Monday, I received an unexpected package from design studio Gachot. In it, an inflatable life saver that reads: DO NOT DISTURB / COCKTAIL PLEASE. One of the cleverer objects I’ve encountered, and among the few great memories I have from the Hamptons, is a freaky blow-up pool bed by Cindy Sherman x MoMA, designed to look like a warped iPhone selfie. Total repulsion-attraction, not to mention the rubber! Is there any reason an AD100 team should be making pool cheeky floaties? No, of course not; and thank god they are.

• You can now pre-order Khaite Resort 2027 directly from the runway through Moda Operandi’s latest trunkshow. As with all Moda trunkshows, 50% is due at purchase, with the remaining balance collected when orders ship. Among the standouts: the Harris Plongé leather coat, an ink-black forever piece, and the Inez wool-silk crêpe de chine skirt that does paisley in a tessellated Khaite way rather than a Steven Tyler way.

• Anna October’s Summer 2026 collection is filled with sweeping ankle-length dresses and, unexpectedly, a category that deserves more attention than it currently receives: the summer cape. The Marigold comes in mint, while the fringed Bernice comes in a shade of butter yellow that could be eyedropped from a cartoon pancake. The dresses remain the brand’s strongest proposition, like the ice-blue Kelly dress. (Could you imagine wearing this to a spring wedding?!) We see the capes combined with the Gill or the Gabriella dress—old-world made new via styling!

• There’s also: The arrival of Savette PF26, bringing fresh shades to the Symmetry bag family alongside a handful of capacious new totes; and the Big Night x Parker Thatch launch, a trio of mesh carryalls aptly named to go, well, everywhere.

• Pieces from Diane Keaton’s personal collection are heading to auction at Christie’s, and the catalogue is available for browsing. Highlights include a George Nakashima dining table (estimated between $40k–60k…woof), a selection of Tiffany lamps, and singular works such as a Jean Prouvé daybed (estimated to go between $15k–20k) that would anchor just about any room fortunate enough to house it.

• We know about statement dressing, and now we’re treating our kitchen cabinets like closets of their own with statement glassware. Venetian glassmakers Laguna~B sits at the center of two recent launches. The Murano glass atelier has collaborated with Dusen Dusen on a made-to-order trio of primary-colored handmade graphic drinking glasses, as well as lighting studio In Common With via the Meadow glasses, the first foray into homewares for the interior décor-centered brand.

• Service Projects, the Copenhagen-based tableware brand, is now shipping U.S. orders through a new North American warehouse. There’s an immediate practical benefit of fewer surprise import costs on heavy, fragile shipments that go overseas (because, seriously, who buys one plate at a time?). Ordering full sets is now considerably less fraught, whether it be dinner plates, stainless steel serving trays, or a set of martini glasses.

• There’s also: A freaky sample pair of martini glasses for sale from Ananas Ananas (one spiky, one non-spiky…you can find them here); Magniberg bringing its Wall Street stripe to bath linens; and Boll & Branch’s Americana edit, including red, white, and blue colorways of the waffle blanket, tailor-made for those awkward nights when it’s too hot for the duvet but too cold to run the AC overnight.

• Nour Hammour’s seasonal sale is now offering discounts of up to 50% off, providing a strong argument for buying leather in…June. A month after my visit to Zoï Paris, I had a follow-up Zoom call from back in New York to review my lab results with Dr. Grimonet. It took us about an hour to go through all of the lab findings and her recommendations for addressing any weak spots and personal goals. Again, this was the first time I’d ever really taken a clinical look at my body in any depth, beyond being told “looks fine, you’re good” after my annual physicals.

I’m sharing the main bits here, along with some relevant / representative lab scans. I get a lot out of others’ specifics— is a big one for me, and I keep up with Bryan Johnson through the ether, but even just hearing from candid randos on the biohacking and supplement subreddits—as it introduces new ways for me to think about health “on paper.”

It’s kind of funny what great lengths Zoï went for my discretion—assigning me the pseudonym Océane Raynaud in external labs, upholding my medical privacy rights under Europe’s version of HIPAA—only for me to release the data to the tens of thousands of you reading this. The first of many ironies to emerge from the gulf between being measured and receiving one’s measurements.

Self-measuring is an integral part of longevity (in 2026 terms), so it only made sense for me to crack this journey open here—both in relaying what the labs and imaging felt like (that’s today), as well as what was actually sussed out, down to the individual markers (coming tomorrow). Zoï Vendôme is only two blocks from the Ritz Paris, which meant I had to walk past early-rising tourist couples staking out its entrance hoping to catch celebrities coming and going, as if part of a low-cost sightseeing date. I happened to see Paloma Elsesser exiting while en route that morning in October, implicating myself in their hobby. A few bends later, I approached Zoï’s address and held up a code I’d been issued via my app to the digital check-in, prompting the doors to swing open onto a Kubrick-ian hallway, illuminated by soft-box lighting and flanked with smooth wood walls. I was jet lagged and carrying several flasks of my own pee in a Row Marlo 12 bag.

I had first visited this space in the spring as a guest of Frama, who is an official partner for the on-site onsen, supplying it with towels, toiletries, and an additional layer of design-y credibility. I was back now for Zoï’s core offering: biometric testing covering 150 biomarkers across 32 individual examinations including lab tests, instrument readings, and advanced imaging devices.

Introducing: ! For the last nearly two months, Alyssa has been editing, organizing, and otherwise participating in the Magasin braintrust as our new managing editor. Give us the elevator intro, your background, your current projects: Long time Magasin reader, first time caller! I am very stoked to come on board and help Laura build the smartest fashion and lifestyle publication in the game right now. I’ve worked in fashion media for over 15 years (!) and have been editor-in-chief twice: first at Fashionista and most recently at NYLON. I’ve been freelance for the past 2.5 years, which has been a great change of pace — mostly writing, editing, and assorted editorial strategy projects. You may have seen my byline in The New York Times, The Cut, GQ, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, and various other fashion-leaning titles. I also host a podcast and publish a weekly fashion-meets-culture newsletter on my own Substack, The New Garde, if you’d like to get to know me and the contents of my brain better!

What’s your shopping archetype: I am a creature of habit when it comes to shopping and I stick to what works for my body type — large-busted, short-torsoed, petite girls, unite! I am also an overthinker; I will wait a couple of weeks or months before buying a luxury item to make sure the desire is still there. If it sells out, it wasn’t meant to be! Most often you can find me in a menswear-inspired button down, or a vintage T-shirt (I love a band, baseball, or surf tee) and Levi’s; whenever I’m in a new city I carve out time to vintage shop, so my collection of both is pretty solid. I invest in accessories and outerwear; this fall I’d really like to buy a new leather jacket (the last one I bought was vintage men’s) and a new handbag. I, too, have been eyeing the Phoebe Philo Gig bag and have wanted a Balenciaga Rodeo bag for a couple of years — it might be time to pull the trigger.

Favorite online store and in-person shopping experience: As mentioned above, I tend towards vintage shopping both online and IRL. I love the Mothfood online store, but haven’t visited the NYC showroom yet. I live in Alphabet City, so sometimes I’ll do a little LES vintage crawl to get my steps in and window shop: Lara Koleji, Procell, Rogue, Ending Soon, 194, Desert Vintage, the usual suspects. I love popping into Chad Senzel’s shop on Eldridge Street and Sorbara’s in Williamsburg to browse and hang with the owners, their curation is top tier. I am not just saying this because she’s my friend, but Emily Dawn Long’s showroom is the most fun place to shop in NYC. I love popping in to kiki and play dress up — sometimes I bring my laptop and co-work there. I almost never leave empty-handed.

Best discovery you ever made through Magasin: Laura has a Comme Si classic button-down in every color, so now I want a Comme Si classic button-down in every color.

Last few things you bought: I’m not sure if it’s the ambient energy of the impending World Cup, the French Open, or the Knicks in the finals, but most of my recent acquisitions have veered athletic. I scored a pair of Relax Lacrosse Brand 4” shorts in an all-American royal blue and red combo, some green Umbros, and The Big Short from HORSE that comes in a crisp white. I regret not grabbing a Bend tank from the Gumi x Rummage Stretch collaboration while I had the chance, but such is life. Otherwise, I’ve been stocking up on staples for summer in the city: Alex Mill Prince Street ballet flats in cherry red (I might pick up the new orange colorway next), a Cou Cou Intimates pointelle midi dress, a truly fantastic white T-shirt from Plain Jane New York, a triangle top bikini from YouSwim (highly recommended for my fellow D+ cup ladies), and some sleek oval sunglasses from Jimmy Fairly that remind me of the pair Lily-Rose Depp’s character wore in “The Idol” (IYKYK).

What’s new

• Eckhaus Latta and Mango have released an exclusive capsule collection, and the New York label’s purposefully skewed proportions and tactile finishes don’t just survive the translation, they’re thriving. Standouts include a neat, boxy suit jacket, tie-overlay trousers that scream downtown hot girl chef, and even...a wedge? It’s an Eckhaus greatest hits album: funky knits, bead details, a straight-leg jean with a metallic acid treatment. Then there’s the woven leather handbag, all loops and texture, sitting at the upper end of the collection (it’s $499) without feeling out of place.

• Kallmeyer PF26 is here, serving as another reminder that fashion’s ongoing flirtation with modesty need not veer into Mennonite territory, what with all the ankle and wrist-skimming hems. Our faves: the Crosby superfine merino cardigan with a fitted button-front akin to the best parts of Agnes B., the impeccably tailored Roxana short in viscose twill, and the starched poplin Isolde full skirt whose body-concealing weight only exudes assurance — a very Kallmeyer thing.

• Chanel’s New York-themed Métiers d’Art 2026 collection has landed in select boutiques. Now that the prices are public, we see that Matthieu Blazy’s brand vision keeps the luxury very much intact. The collection, which debuted last December inside a New York City subway, is the product of sticking the Blazy mythos inside the artisanal machinery that is Chanel. What is spit out: price-upon-request collector-bait evening bags (the acorn and constellation globe minaudières are Magasin favorites) in true Lagerfeld tradition, a cashmere knit riffing on the Superman logo ($3,950), and an instant classic cotton skirt in the style of Coco Chanel herself ($8,150) intended for fearless pattern mixing. It’s luxurious, funny, and considered, confirming what a lot of us already knew: Blazy has created a Chanel that can be freaky and sell.

• Métier’s Summer 2026 arrivals are here, bringing a fresh crop of bags and accessories designed for the season’s migration between city, coast, and airport lounge. A new menthe-colored suede appears on both the stowaway and edge clutch, lending each silhouette a refreshing note. The real sleeper hit may be the grey-ecru Chameleon 41. The striped canvas body feels perfectly suited to summer, while the small diamond insignias stamped into the leather handle attachments are a smart way to use logos without going overboard. An excellent beach bag that would look equally convincing carried straight back into the city.

• Aflalo’s Summer 2026 collection comes ashore with a wash of luminous silks and bias cuts. It’s glossy, glamorous, and uninterested in subtlety — but not too loud, either. The Alere top, for example: a gleaming, white silk top trimmed with fringe and cut like an elevated bandana. Equally strong are the Freja silk trousers, finished with an apron-style tie, and the Lolana pant, whose rounded silhouette is like a fashion genie pant. For those craving color, look no further than the Nourin dress, something Michelle Pfeiffer would look awesome in.

• There’s also: Jaden Smith’s dandy-luxe debut as Men’s Creative Director at Christian Louboutin; Dear Frances’ Balla mesh flat and Sade mesh mule rendered in Sherbet, a limited-edition shade that’s as sweet as its name suggests; Sabah’s first-ever ballet flat, the Babet, arriving in a veritable feast of colors (we’re partial to the cobalt suede); Norma Kamali’s Invisible Swim collection, bikinis engineered with barely-there attachments that deliver a delightfully convincing optical illusion; Bottega Veneta’s new Alta fragrance collection, ten scents threading together distinctly Italian ingredients while turning the Intrecciato into both metaphor and bottle motif; and Byredo’s first body mist collection, five bestselling fragrances reimagined as a lighter veil for skin, clothes, and repeat application.

• Thuma has teamed up with beloved British interiors firm Buchanan Studio on a capsule collection that merges the bed brand’s sturdy construction with Buchanan’s cheery eye for color. The result feels familiar enough for existing Thuma devotees, while introducing some bold personality into the mix. The centerpiece is Buchanan Studio’s signature upholstered bed, offered in olive velvet, blush pink velvet, and a brown-and-white stripe that manages to feel vintage without being dated. Matching throw pillows extend the concept further, allowing for a bit of pattern play without requiring a full room overhaul.

• Marisa Berenson has joined forces with Zara and Zara Home on a collection that channels the rattan-and-bamboo motifs of Hollywood Regency in clothing (there is a sequined turban involved) and, perhaps more importantly, for your tabletop. The homewares lineup is steeped in astrology and a sense of old-world opulence: zodiac wide goblets and corresponding embroidered linen napkins, a fringed zig-zag tablecloth. Oh, there’s also a gilded table decoration that…essentially is the Apple of Discord?

• There’s also: CB2 and Todd Snyder’s Townhouse Collection, a handsome exercise in Art Deco glamour filtered through midcentury apartment stylings; and Volker Haug Studio’s Pilz lighting collection at The Future Perfect, hand-blown using a 4,000-year-old Murano glassmaking technique in each mushroom-like light fixture.

• Dehanché’s seasonal sale is for anyone who lives by the philosophy: you can never have enough accessories. Many styles are hovering around 30% off, with select pieces marked down considerably further. Particular attention should be paid to basics like the Richa belt in black leather with mixed hardware, now reduced from $590 to $400. For those with a flair for the dramatic, the jaguar calf-hair bodice belt with gold hardware falls from $950 to $390. • After a seven-year hiatus, Marc Jacobs Beauty is officially back. The relaunch is here for a high-impact mylar finish—Jeff Koons-ian metallic components and all. Among the strongest returns are updated descendants of some of the line’s most beloved products. Legally Bronze blurring bronzer picks up where the coconut perfect tan left off, while Drawn This Way eyeliner revisits the legacy of the highliner with a 2026 upgrade, wacky colors included.

• Utah-to-NYC creator Courtney Grow has launched her collaboration with Reformation, and the resulting collection feels like a lovechild between the interiors of the Plaza and the late Gramercy Park Hotel (but…clothes). There are crochet separates (the Montana skirt and Lassoff top is the ideal summer duo), linen dresses (the backless Sol is brilliant) with a few colored satin pieces for pizzazz, like the Zoe Sage sandals and the Molly Maude clutch.

• There’s some more Khaite PF26 on-site, proposing just a touch of elevation for your impending transitional wardrobe. As for what’s in the drop: A rib-height double-button pencil skirt in double-faced crepe, some sculpted organza in blouse-format, and an ankle-strap leather sandal in turquoise ostrich. A mini new offering with maximum impact.

• We can shop Anthony Vaccarello’s FW26 Saint Laurent, and it evolves the office siren into a new corporate woman: the office bitch. Particular attention goes to the Brigitte pumps in TPU and python, a pair of shoes that are snotty office sneer incarnate. Color is also very important; acidic citron in the brocade skirts, lace on the camisoles layered under thick, authoritarian herringbone suiting.

• Two brands deserve official placement on the watch list this week. Introducing Herman, a menswear-inspired womenswear brand that does masculinity without dressing down (see: the shirt jacket); they also do one hell of a car coat. Now meet Briah Artemis, an NYC-based label whose SS26 offering leans a distinctly confrontational sense of femininity; aka, a New York woman. There are bumster trousers, unitard-like catsuits, and soft hats constructed entirely from reworked vintage t-shirts.

• We want a girl with a short skirt, and a long jacket… and an even longer bag. The east-west silhouette (bags that are wider than they are tall) is the season's preferred accessory format. Bottega Veneta's Cabat Mare combines canvas with Intrecciato weaving for a beach tote take on the idea. Métier's Cala 42 tote combines rich suede and hand-braided leather trim, while Jamie Haller's East West bag reimagines the classic bowler with a lengthened profile. Honorable mention goes to the Eileen by La Collection, a lambsilk-lined calf leather number with an envelope-like shape built for evening plans.

• More swimwear and resortwear has arrived just in time for the annual summer heatwave. Fruity Booty really goes there with seersucker in its SS26 drop; the Laguna bikini is a clear hero. And then there’s Staud's collaboration with Positano institution Da Adolfo, which translates beach-club memorabilia into genuinely covetable clothing (the fish logo turns out to be an unexpectedly elevated motif, like on this beaded skirt). Tekla also enters the swimwear game with some characteristic Scandi practicality: one scoop-neck one-piece, one swim short, and a few lightweight sarongs.

PRF with Dr. Macrene Alexiades

It stands for platelet-rich fibrin, and it’s basically a dermal filler derived from your own blood. I had one of the most successful appointments of my cosmetic career with the delightful Dr. Macrene, an insanely accoladed dermatologist / scientist / Yale professor, etc, whose background as an ARTIST became extremely apparent in the way she surveyed my face and balanced all of my minor asymmetries and early signs of aging. They draw blood, put it in a centrifuge, and inject the fibrin matrix with a tiny needle you can barely feel (not like a filler cannula at all). I could see the results while still sitting in the chair, but your body’s own injected material will continue to promote growth factors in the areas over weeks. A friend I saw the next day told me I looked prettier, imperceptibly, “like I was ovulating.” But actually, this is me in luteal. The highest compliment!!

Welcome back. It’s still High Touch week. Today we’re hearing from a cross-section of New Yorkers who’ve taken or are taking GLPs; brand-name Ozempic and Zepbound to gray-market product via “peptide guy.” One in eight Americans is on a weight-loss medication, and soon we’ll look back and find it hard to believe there was ever any stigma around them at all. (But, to be clear, at this point in time there still very much is.)

Below, I speak to three of my friends about their diverse reasonings for taking the peptide—”being thin” as its own end, as a treatment for PCOS, to lose the baby weight and find themself again…everyone has their reasons. But first, a few things we’ve seen, heard, pined for this week:

Niko Zucchero, 32

How would you describe your relationship to food, eating, and your body before you started GLPs? What specifically led you to explore them?

I was an emotional eater and had insane food noise, and I was overweight for what I wanted for myself. All of that’s gone.

When and how did you start taking GLPs? I.e. who was your provider, what was the cost, what form(s) did you take?

I tried semaglutide and I was micro dosing it; this was early 2023 but was difficult to reliably get. I took it for a few months and noticed results but nothing major. In August of 2024 I started Trizepitide with a med spa paying $250-$350 weekly—Alchemy43 was my med spa, I chose them because a friend recommended and they had locations NYC and LA. After three months of this, I’d lost 20-ish pounds. Then a friend introduced me to her “peptide guy” and I’ve been with him ever since: it’s $175 per vial which lasts 2-4 weeks depending on my dose at the time, and he has every other peptide you could want; I’ve tried NAD+ injections and a copper-peptide blend, I liked both but didn’t like intramuscular injections with the NAD, and didn’t like the daily injections with the copper blend. I’ll probably circle back to a copper blend now that he has more options available.

What was your initial reaction? How soon did you begin noticing the effects? Did you experience any side effects?

When I switched to Trizepitide and increased dosing on schedule I really started to see results, I lost ~50lbs over the course of a year, quite rapidly in the first six months. (Starting to regularly work out helped.) My side effects have been mild, a bit of car sickness feeling or nausea if I ate too much. Possibly some hair thinning, not enough to stop.

What impact have GLPs had on your health and wellbeing—including any data you've tracked? Positive or negative.

Being thin has helped my wellbeing, sorry it’s tea.

What’s your current GLP protocol? Has it evolved over time?

I’ve taken breaks, and I’m currently more interested in maintenance, or a boost post-holiday / vacation. I’m no longer looking for drastic results, just quieting food noise and maintaining.

Have you noticed GLPs interacting with anything else in your life—other medications, supplements, exercise, alcohol, sleep, mood?

Well, I now take 11 different supplements + a green powder every morning because I am aware that consistently eating only once a day is not going to do everything.

Supplements as of now: NMN 500mg liposomal, probiotic, saffron, liposomal vitamin C 1000mg, B-complex, fiber, astaxanthin 4mg, zinc 15mg + bisglycinate copper 2mg, magnesium glycinate, ubiquinol 10mg, omega-3 (rTG, enteric coated).

Subject to change? I’ve been thinking about adding iron and a collagen powder but I can’t find one I love. My mood is great, being thin puts me in a good mood. I basically don’t drink at all now and I don’t want to be flabby so I also workout.

What do your circles think about your GLP use, if it’s something you’ve shared with them?

I’ve convinced so many people to get on it and try it. I'm screaming it from the rooftops.

Welcome back to High Touch. A couple weeks ago I popped into the West Village office of Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank, cosmetic dermatologist and chief medical officer and founder of PFRANKMD and author of “The Pro-Aging Playbook”. He’d topped my list as someone to speak with for launch week after his name was passed to me multiple times during background interviews with professionals when researching this new vertical.

For people who feel the way about a list of aesthetic services the way others do when reading the martini menu at The Grill or a price list at a Prada sample sale—me, to all—Dr. Frank’s website is a dopaminergic blast of anticipation. Tools I know first hand like Morpheus8, Vbeam, and Clear & Brilliant jump out amid tons I haven’t tried or even heard of: Ellacor, AviClear, Aerolase NeoElite Laser (would make beautiful names for a girl), etc. There’s a whole section just for longevity interventions…Niagen IV Therapy, Pelvic Strengthening, even ExoMind, which, to paint a picture, uses magnetic energy to treat depression and is FDA-cleared!

Dr. Frank is a prime example of keeping a stacked deck while playing a conservative hand. More from him on the cosmetic-cultural paradigm shift underway and, more practically, what works and what’s probably a scam, below. But first, some things we saw, heard, chewed on this week.

Laura Reilly: How long has longevity been a part of your practice?

Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank: Since I started. I have felt that, in a sad way, wellness and beauty used to sit on the opposite sides of the cafeteria when they were always the same thing. Dermatology is no better profession to understand this concept. Generally, beautiful skin is a reflection of the health of the skin. And you can’t see that with our liver, and our brain, and all these things, because [skin] is the largest organ, but it’s all visual.

I’ve always had this idea of “pro-aging,” not “anti-aging.” I started that about 10 years ago, and then in 2019 I wrote my book “The Pro-Aging Playbook.” It was really all about how beauty starts from within, and the things that I’m trained to do are icing on the cake. There’s only so much I can do. I’m having conversations with patients about getting surgery all the time. I don’t dissuade people—if they don’t want it, they don’t want it.

LR: Are you having a conversation with your patients about their lifestyle?

PJF: Eating habits, drinking habits, what their goals are. I talk to them about all of these things. The difficulty right now, which I like the most, is reeducating people, because there’s so much nonsense out there. The regenerative medicine stuff, the peptide gray market, the supplement market, these are all super exciting things in the future. But people don’t want to wait for data. They want to jump on bandwagons. But it’s teaching the ethos of pro-aging and living inside-out.

I went to school to become a dermatologist, and it was as simple as just being involved in skincare—being involved in the health of the skin, the beauty of the skin aesthetically. Now I look at it as: I want to empower people to feel comfortable about aging. Unfortunately, everyone comes in with very specific complaints and feeling that they’re going through it alone. I tell people, “You are special, but you are not uncommon.”

The first thing is to help empower people to feel good about the process. What they don’t realize is that we are all spoiled. A hundred years ago or 150 years ago, life expectancy was half of what it is right now. We’re actually doing quite well, and it’s a blessing to get old and see the wrinkles on our face. We weren’t meant to watch ourselves age. So it’s natural as visual creatures to want the inside and the outside to match. Now we have the technology, and we’re learning a lot about lifestyle things to hopefully help us not only have longevity, but also to have a better health span. There are a lot of technologies and things out now that are combined with that, like peptides, like the BTL products. Using technology that works on the inside, not just on the outside.

LR: You’ve had your practice for 25 years—what did longevity look like then? What kinds of interventions were you recommending?

PJF: I was trying to get patients to let me treat their rashes and do occasional Botox. Lasers were very rudimentary. I took out government loans, and I thought I had the most cutting edge practice, because I had a hair-removal laser, a vascular laser, a pigmented lesion laser. That was it. I always told people, because they’d come in with complaints—“this wrinkle bothers me, this bothers me”—I told them, the healthier we can get your skin, the better you’re going to feel about the way you look.

The first cutting-edge technology that is probably the most impactful thing of my career was Fraxel, which was a non-ablative, no-open-skin way to target sun damage and rejuvenate the skin. That was the ultimate pro-aging device. I do have patients that don’t care about their sun spots, broken capillaries, and things like that, but they do when I tell them it’s those things that are the precursors to wrinkles and loss of elasticity and need for a facelift. I can get your skin healthier, there’s a trickle effect of so many other things.

Thank you all so much for agreeing to participate in this roundtable for High Touch, Magasin’s coming-soon newsletter about aesthetics and longevity.

I’ve said this to each of you individually, but your respective publications represent, to me, the new wave of health and wellness media and are some of the few voices adequately reflecting the real conversations being had on the matter out in the wild. I’m (maybe selfishly) excited to learn more about how you navigate that, and to see some of these topics through your eyes.

So—to start us off...Can everyone introduce themselves and their respective platforms, with some context as to how you arrived at doing what you do?

Hey! I'm Chris. I'm a longtime magazine editor (spent a decade-ish at GQ) and now I'm the EIC of SSENSE, Canada's no. 1 ecommerce platform for buying Lemaire and such. I also host the podcast SuperHuman.

I started my Substack because, like everyone in their mid thirties, I got addicted to working out (Muay Thai) and wanted an excuse to talk to other people about their wellness practices, and maybe even launder a lifelong interest in TCM into the zeitgeist. The name HEAVIES is what someone at my gym called the big kettlebells, and I thought it was a funny name for a newsletter, so here we are.

I initially launched as a way to make sense of the ever-evolving world of Health Twitter and related forums. It felt like there were so many insights that simply weren’t being translated for the audiences that could really benefit from them (ie, girls in their 20s who were wanting to get off birth control but unsure how; or people demonizing carbs and generally undereating while also experiencing hypothyroid symptoms1). As I was putting together the pieces in my own healing journey, I felt the urge to share—creating a space for honest explorations of underrepresented / ”alternative health” approaches, along with an open forum for conversation. The name came to me in a dream.

Outside of the newsletter, I work as a copywriter + creative consultant for brands / founders in the health and wellness space. I currently live in Chicago, after 5+ years in NYC.

I’m Sami Reiss, I’ve been writing on Substack for three years after a stint of another newsletter, freelance magazine work and working in sports leagues. It began as a feature in my other newsletter a decade ago then a series of columns on Inverse and GQ. It evolved from pure lifting into wellness into something else now… no hard mission but letters now focus on edge of health protocols—raw dairy2, red milk3, collagen maxxing, intermittent hypoxia4, real sicko shit—but framed to an analog tilt: in context of maxxing out the subtle big rocks of groceries and sleep and light environment and movement / lifting / cardio first. The genesis is I started lifting hard in high school because of hardcore music (spec. the back photo of the Age of Quarrel), and got quickly into shakes, PPL splits and macros; I got into the demon obscure shit after an assignment a few years ago and began n=1ing hard on basically everything I cover now years ago. Skincare

I’ve always felt that the closer you stay to nature, the better. Keep things as simple as possible. Certainly in today’s world, where we’re being marketed every single possible thing. I see it with my daughter. It’s a different time to grow up. She has TikTok and she knows everything about every product. I guess I’ve just found the balance of wanting to keep things simple, feel good, and look good.

I’ve always been on the natural side. I’ve always loved it. I remember my mother cleaning the house with certain products. I just thought, “How is this possible? This can’t be good for you.” When I was a kid, I thought, “Oh, I can’t wait to have my own home and use natural products and things.” I’ve always felt that way, even with perfume—I just did a perfume—I couldn’t wear a lot of them. All of these things can be done in a way that’s a bit more natural.

I love to try things and I’m sent things, or my friends will do a line [of products]. There’s always something to try, but I end up with pieces of the puzzle—finding things from each brand that work for me. I tend to like simple things like Agent Nateur. She has one called the Holi Trinity which is vitamin C, an oil, and a hyaluronic spray. Living Libations, really natural good stuff. I like the rose thing that they do: a rose cleanser, a rose emollient serum, a COQ10 serum, and a face spray. Then this line my friend who has bees is making, it’s called VRéserve. I like the Weleda products, the Skin Food is obviously really good. Another one that’s lovely is out of the UK. It’s called Sweet Bee Organics.

Haircare + scalp health

Hair care is more about the brushes. I love the Jäneke brushes and combs. I don't use that much on my hair. I use David Mallet shampoo and conditioner, they’re so good and his salon is so great.

Bodycare

For my body, I love coconut oil.

Hands / feet / nails

I love magnesium cream for feet, or Skin Food. Lately I've gone natural with my nails. This summer I'm going to have to do something. There's a Chanel ballet pink and that really dark, beautiful red that they do, Rouge Noir. Hermès has a nice hand cream, Chanel too. I use a gua sha. I use it mainly if my jaw is tight, or even my neck if it's sore. I use it more as a little massage tool.

Oral health

I like Curaprox toothbrushes, the ones that are different colors. For toothpaste, sometimes I make my own with coconut oil, oregano oil, stuff like that. When I'm traveling, Living Libations makes really good natural toothpastes. Weleda makes a good salt toothpaste.

I recently did a perfume with Veronique Gabai. [Laura note: Kelly also just collaborated with Cayumas on a line of Friulane slippers.] I wanted something rose, and I partnered with a friend of mine who I've known for 15 years who worked at Estée Lauder and did all the perfumes for the brands. And she comes from Antibes, not far from where I'm living. I told her I wanted to be as natural as humanly possible, she already kind of does that anyway with her brand. It's called Rose Première. I'm really excited about it. People are really liking it, so I'm super happy.

Welcome to High Touch. Today we’re talking about my plastic surgery—the questionable cosmetic decisions I made that brought me there, the doc I went to, the acute and long-term healing process, lots of progress pics—but before we get into that, a few things spotted, tested, heard in the High Touch universe this week:

I got lower blepharoplasty plus fat transfer and CO2 laser in January of 2024, at a point when my under eyes were worse-than-baseline.

Some backstory: 8 or so years prior, when I first started working at InStyle, a plastic surgeon’s PR (Dr. Konstantin Vasyukevich) offered me free under-eye filler in exchange for using him as an expert source in upcoming coverage. This kind of thing happens all the time. I had genetically hollow and dark eye bags, so I accepted. All was par for the course—the change was subtle and I kind of forgot I had even done anything after a while.

In 2022, the Restylane he had injected over half a decade earlier became encapsulated, i.e. hardened and bulging under the skin. This can happen after a virus like a flu (or even one you don’t otherwise notice) passes through you, which I suspected to be the case: A dot of filler I had added to my jaw to even out the line between my chin and cheek (called the sulcus) at an injector’s office more recently (Ali Sheets, PA-C, when she was at Center Aesthetic) had also suddenly hardened and bulged out. Neither of my past injectors had done anything improper, it’s just the complex nature of filler, which the industry is only starting to recognize after many years of heralding it as low-risk and short-lived.

I ended up having to get the stubborn filler in all three sites dissolved over something like five sessions. Hyaluronidase is super traumatic to the area, and the whole ordeal left the skin under my eyes really baggy and thin. Some months later, I took a selfie on an overcast day and was so alarmed that I decided I had to do something about it. Realistically, the aging process also played a role.

A lot has happened since I announced High Touch earlier this year. First, a vitriolic cross-platform comment war (I got doxxed! It was crazy) and a drone of essays from self-fashioned cultural commentators. I got to be the internet’s Rorschach test for a fortnight. But then…every major publication got their peptide coverage in. A dozen Substacks centered on new-guard wellness emerged. Celebrities and public figures reclaimed the narratives around their regimens in droves. This isn’t the same landscape it was even a few months ago.

We’re launching High Touch with a week of programming that crosses a variety of themes and formats I created this newsletter to explore. Gird your inboxes. No spoilers, it’s all coming starting tomorrow.

Today, though, a collection of concepts and vantage points that together form a High Touch manifesto:

• What I’m calling Selfspan: just as “healthspan” refined our aspirations for our lifespans—not just living longer, but being of sound body and mind for those years—selfspan affirms the desire to identify with the person in the mirror over that time, too. It means whatever it means to you.

• This newsletter is here to document the world around us, not shape it. You’ll never see us saying “do this,” ever. This is both practical—physiologies differ wildly, everyone draws their own line in the sand—but also, it’s just of no benefit or detriment to this newsletter whether a reader picks up Botox or not.

• Relatedly, no moralizing. Planet Fitness said it best when they proclaimed to be a “judgement-free zone.” (Half joking.) However people want to be healthy or look hot or live to 1,000 years old, honestly, let them. Longevity—selfspan—as a personal goal is not mutually exclusive with other human qualities.

• Research is a gradient. Not everything featured here will be based on meta-analyses or RCTs. Not everything will be FDA-approved or on-label. Not everything will be “white market.” Our network of nearly 50 fact checkers will orient the content we publish within the greater scientific literature and link out to further relevant reading. Our ever-expanding professional network is around to lend their insights to the slipperier subjects. And for those conversations along the fringe, the more interest the public shows in a topic, the more research stands to emerge around it.

• It’s called High Touch for a reason. A lot of what we cover here is expensive, exclusive, niche. This comes with a perspective that those paying the high cost of emerging tech are bankrolling the road to eventual lower mass pricing. I’m not saying they always will, but life-changing health implications can emerge from blurring the elective-essential divide. Think about botox for migraines, red-light therapy for wound healing…I’d bet we’ll be seeing hyperbaric oxygen therapy prescribed post-surgery en masse within a decade. Still, this trickle down is secondary to the fact that people can spend their money how they wish.

• Zara has entered its Benito Antonio era; things are serious enough to use Bad Bunny’s government name. The collection pulls from the musician’s Puerto Rican roots with a palette that swings between head-to-toe black and white and shades best described as melted saltwater taffy. The linen relaxed-fit pants and cropped henley are worthy of weekly rotation, with special thanks owed to Benito for continuing his campaign in support of the hint of male midriff. Satin dolphin shorts and cropped double-breasted suiting keep the capsule from drifting into basics-only territory: Zara’s mass appeal meeting Benito on an island.

• UNIQLO’s new collaboration with Cecilie Bahnsen feels like the sweet spot where a Simone Rocha and Comme des Garçons Girl collection collide in an epic display of practicality. Bahnsen’s signature fascination with volume shows up in pieces like the flower-embroidered volume-sleeve T-shirt and matching skirt (there is also a dress version). It’s UNIQLO, so there’s going to be a graphic tee—this one acts as a mood board for the collection itself.

• A fresh stack of holiday-weekend reading has arrived, spanning collectible editions, garden philosophy, restaurant archives, and saffron-heavy Spanish cooking. Flamingo Estate’s Pleasure Principles approaches seasonal living through the olfactory—think the smell of petrichor, the satisfaction of only eating tomatoes during tomato season. Assouline’s Venice La Serenissima x Fortuny enters collector-object territory at the mortgage-prices tome (it’s $3,500), tracing Venice through architecture, spirituality, power, and myth. Apartamento’s Bar Brutal pairs 26 recipes with archival photography from Barcelona’s beloved wine bar, preserving the beautiful chaos of a room where dinner can easily become a five-hour event. While we’re on the Spain page, José Andrés’ Spain: My Way moves through the cuisines of the region with the native energy of someone who just made their first successful paella.

• Khaite’s private sale is here, with discounts hovering between 25 and 40% off. The Fifi dress and high-neck pinstriped Naran jacket both find themselves in that extremely specific category of clothes always ready for unpredictable weather.

• The Row’s private sale is now circulating through whispers among the faithful, and everything in this section is 50% off. As always, some less-intimidatingly-priced outerwear, (the Hariet coat is half off at $6k), and some great cottons like the Kazu tank.

• The RealReal’s massive sale is stacked with one-of-one vintage designer finds rarely discounted anywhere else. A Gucci horsebit chain bag at $1,116, a floor-length The Row silk slip (priced down to $1,593 from $2,125), and even a 2005 Prada cami for $391 make a strong case for carving out some dedicated time to scroll your saved searches and seeing what magic there is to find.

• Beauty engineered with skincare ambitions (and vice versa) is having a major sale week. Credo’s markdowns include such grails as Westman Atelier complexion drops and Alpyn Beauty’s polishing gel, OneSkin celebrates with tiered free gifts for every $75 spent over $150 (up to $300), meaning you can accumulate a head-to-toe skin health trio in addition to buying other skin-saving goods, Saie’s friends and family event begins today with 20% off sitewide applied automatically at checkout (we recommend duos like the liquid blush-bronzer Dew-O), and Glossier—the modern patron saint of skincare-makeup hybrids—has a sale running on such items as Milky Jelly Cleansing Balm and Universal Pro-Retinol dipping into genuinely tempting price territory (combine an extra 30% on top of both of those sale prices at checkout).

• Moda Operandi’s designer sale ranges from 30 to 50% off, with enough rogue 70% markdowns to make an hours-long search feel worth it. High Sport’s floral mini shorts at $192 from $640 represent such 70% off items, while the sub-$800 Chloe Rita mesh ballet flats represent the 30% off selection.

• The MyTheresa sale launches with a fairly even spread of 20–50% markdowns across current and past-season inventory. A great deal is a set of butter-yellow Jil Sander separates (top is 20% off, bottoms are 30%), while a pair of Loewe’s toy pumps in shearling remain gloriously strange even at a discount, down to $1,530 from $2,550.

• The Simone Pérèle archive event advertises discounts “up to 70% off,” though nearly everything actually lands at the full markdown. The Heloise bra-and-thong set totaling around $45 feels like fleeing the scene of a crime…

• Rachel Comey’s sale is heavy on the dependable 30-to-40%-off category, including shoes. The Carson jacket’s cropped shape in particular hits that sweet spot between the hip bone and bellybutton just so.

• The No.6 “just for you” sale leans low-pressure in the best possible way, with plenty hovering around 30% off. Cordera’s merino wool cardigan and the Inez skirt from the house label make a compelling argument for a casual little shopping treat.

• J.Crew’s 40% off event gets more interesting once the extra markdowns start stacking. The 2025 rollneck cable-knit dropping from $128 to roughly $48 (!) makes this an especially good moment for a line-change on cotton basics.

• Alex Mill’s long-weekend sale pushes select pieces up to 50% off, including the tomato-red Pippa skirt (30% off), and suede New York loafers in an entire ROYGBIV spectrum (we’re partial to the violet ones).

• Net-A-Porter’s latest sale is that classic fast-moving luxury chaos: beloved designers, shrinking size runs, “act fast” marvel markdowns, like these 40% off LMB satin flats (prices at $366), or even a new-on-the-roster Willy Chavarria dress (new season, down to $1,295).

• The entire Nécessaire site is currently 20% off, including the top-rated body-retinol products. The best value remains the bundled body essentials kit, especially for anyone committed to smelling exactly the same from shoulders to ankles.

• There’s also: (Deep breath now…) Simon Miller’s stripe-heavy summer sample sale, where a Gumby-green vertical stripe mini dress and zebra-print haircalf mules are somehow both 60% off; Guest in Residence’s end-of-season cashmere sweep, with most discounts around 30% off; 20% off at Babaa with babaalove at checkout, in case knit dressing is still a thing for you as the weather warms up; an Agent Nateur Memorial Day event, with 20% off the whole site (including vitamin subscriptions like the autophagy pack); hosiery on sale at Swedish Stockings, an edit with patterned tights and strange little colors and patterns that suddenly become deeply necessary at 40–70% off; RB Sides’ denim sale, complete with all the fixins (in this case it’s the Ramona shirt in purple patchwork); Beaufille’s sale section, 30–60% off and full of floor-length lace numbers dramatic enough to justify confabulating plans to wear them; Vivrelle’s Memorial Day membership deal, offering 30% off three months of luxury handbags and accessories on loan; Nikki Chasin’s warehouse sale, where embroidered tomato-red dresses and marl cashmere henleys coexist in pleasantly chaotic harmony; Faithfull’s summer sale, delivering floral bikini separates and extremely picked-over size runs (if you’re an XS, the San Marco bikini top is down to $19 from $99); Skims’ biannual markdown event, spanning knit camis to boyfriend-style fleece micro minis; Donni’s summer sale, where the Daisy coat’s descent from nearly $1,000 to under $400 feels deliciously satisfying; and Mansur Gavriel’s sweeping seasonal markdowns, finally bringing the Mini Fortuna bucket bag back.

Home sales

• Another 20% off sale: sitewide for Ostermoor’s Memorial Day promotion with MEMORIAL20. Mattresses and bedding bundles are included—the best value, because they’re higher-priced! The brand’s blue-striped mattresses somehow manage to look as comfortable as they feel, which is both rare and adorable.

• Ralph Lauren’s home sale is much more compelling than the clothing side, with extra markdowns driving prices down further at checkout. Who doesn’t want cable knit towels to match their sweaters? And with an extra 30% off select pieces, RL enters Target pricing territory.

• There’s also: Gardenheir’s Memorial Day early access event with $25 off $150 orders using MEMORIAL at checkout, for all botanical hobbyists; 20% off at Autumn Sonata’s early access sale granted to account holders (signing up is free), stacked with bath towels and table linens in nearly every pattern known to man; Boll & Branch’s Memorial Day bedding bundles, taking 20–25% off the sort of sheets that make hotel sleep feel vaguely disappointing afterward; and Sixpenny’s PRACTICALMAGIC weekend deal, where typing the magic words at checkout yield 20% off when spending $1,000, which is unsurprisingly easy when you take a look at the sofas.

What’s new

• Suede…for summer? Yeah, it’s a Nour Hammour thing for SS26, and we’re not asking questions. The new arrivals lean into funnel-neck jackets and elongated column skirts, with leather extending into unexpected territory, full-bodied skirts included. The standout is a bell-hemmed cotton coat named Jane, one that could go to the opera, or be a New England coastal layer.

• The Gucci NY Tote is, at its core, a Gucci shopping bag rendered in leather, stamped with gold hardware, and priced at $3,000. Part of a New York-exclusive capsule across the Milanese brand’s five NYC stores and online, the NY tote arrives alongside the newer Borsetto Boston bag and Vittoria pumps, Statue of Liberty and apple charms, and even a $490 hot dog pendant. Whether it’s civic tribute or strategic, Demna-coded merchandising depends on the viewer.

• The latest The Row edit at Net-A-Porter sticks to its OG codes: natural fibers, dark hues, the kind of clothing you want to wear when the humidity feels like being in the devil’s bathtub. Lighter satin fabrications are key, as seen in the Amapola coat (now on pre-order) to the Cecily tote. Elsewhere, ribbed camis and cotton trousers sketch the outline of a wardrobe that feels lifted from a 1990s dance studio, orthorexia (thankfully) not included.

• If last week’s archive sale hinted at new inventory, FFORME’s latest release confirms it. The Kahlo dress channels classical Phidias-marble drapery (excessively romantic in the deep bordeaux colorway), while pleating runs through pieces like the Gisela dress. Then there are the easier pieces like the Dione pant and Romi T-shirt, suitable for grocery runs and girls’ nights alike (depending on the shoe).

• The Swatch x Audemars Piguet launch (and the ensuing in-store chaos) has been hard to miss. New York, Paris, and Milan saw unruly crowds, shutdowns due to fights, and limited stock. The line contains eight Bioceramic pocket watches priced at $400, each more playful and collectible than the last. On launch day, stores reported only having a maximum of 50 units of each colorway. It seems like Swatch is betting on physical frenzy in a resale era that’s become digital to avoid such squabbles—maybe the publicized diet-riots were to build buzz? Either way, timing is everything (pun very intended).

• There’s also: LoveShackFancy’s debut intimates collection with extra doily-heavy fabrics; La Garçonne’s exclusive collection of Casey Casey scarves, some silk-cashmere blends for emergency accessory moments; GANNI x Melissa’s jelly redux (somehow they made frill details with the PVC?); Buccellati’s Muse high jewelry drop, a savoir-faire reinterpretation of the brand’s Caviar motif through rubies, sapphires, and tsavorites; and Rowie’s silk-and-lace capsule, you know, in case you’re looking for a head to toe cream lace outfit to pay fashion tribute to the late Prince.

Men’s releases

• A new unisex-y collaboration between JW Anderson and heritage Italian sneaker brand Diadora is here, reworking the 1975 Equipe silhouette. Originally built for road and track athletes, it now arrives in offbeat JWA-unique colorways, like a princess blue with yellow and maroon, or pistachio with evergreen and oxblood. One of four versions is already gone, suggesting the JWA collab formula is still tried and true.

• These are, plainly, the Jordan 12s of penny loafers. G.H. Bass returns with another take on the original Buck Mason Larson penny loafer, cut from Horween Chromexcel leather that only softens and deepens over time. The new brown iteration doesn’t overreach with any excess detailing, just a considered update that reinforces the shoe’s long-standing place in the rotation by adding a brown to the black.

Home releases

• Christie’s is treating the S.I. Newhouse auction like a movie, underscored by a two-minute film of Nicole Kidman mogging and a Brancusi sculpture. The sale itself spans Picasso, Matisse, Mondrian, and Warhol, with estimates between $6 and $30 million. It’s blue-chip collecting with the added marketing behind it; even if you’re not one of the hyperrich who can invest, odds are you’ve seen the Nicole Kidman AMC pre-preview movie trailer, and can get why this casting choice is hilarious.

• There’s also: Dimwit’s debut of design-forward dimmers, at once home hardware and art object; and Brooklinen x Dedcool’s collab, a super-plush lime green robe and accompanying linen spray (we pray for a restock on the fragrance!)

What’s on sale

• Toteme’s private sale spans a wide range (40% to 70% off) of product, covering everything from outerwear to core wardrobe pieces. Log in to see it. The cord overshirt jacket drops significantly, while classic denim (the mid-rise are originally priced $380, now marked down to $114) and classic shirting come into more approachable territory. It’s a broad edit, accommodating the Toteme shopper who wants to wear a pretty dress and add another pair of trousers to their collection, as well as the aspirational customer who gains more access to the brand world via discounted pricing.

• The Bergdorf designer sale arrives as a strong destination for all of your shoe needs. Sandals like Bottega Veneta’s Marella thong slides drop by half, while the always trendy and reliably comfy Prada and Miu Miu mini pumps (these are down to $567 from $1,290) join the mix for some high heel biodiversity. There are some chosen apparel items for the low as well, like these Bottega trousers marked down to $600 from $1,500.

• Sea’s lace-forward universe is now discounted, with many pieces hovering around 40% off and some reaching 50. We’re extra into pieces like the Fiora capri ($255 from $425), alongside the Holden skirt ($357 from $595) and Georgia pointelle tank ($159 from $265). It’s cohesive, with enough variation to justify the “final sale” on all.

• The summer-ready Jacquemus private sale, discounted around the 30% range, reveals itself once you sign up for a free account with email. Fare includes the Bambino bag, striped Agave shorts, and the angel-wing-sleeved Paysan wrap top. The Saudade dress is a great core piece in the lineup, a beautifully draped cami dress among the ilk of perma-vacation silhouettes that put the brand on the map.

• Lingerie and loungewear step into sale season with half-off at Love Stories. There are non-underwire mesh skivvies like the Tanga briefs and the Jane bralette, alongside elastic waist camisole staples like the Mary. Lunya doubles down with steep markdowns (in the 70–80% range) including its signature terry pants and cotton-silk henleys, the latter of which are marked down to $45 from $228.

• There’s also: An Eckhaus Latta private sale, 20% off with TAKE20SPRING, including runway outerwear like the Signal jacket; Posse’s end-of-season event (roughly 30% off, with polka-dot dresses and matching sets primed for long lunches that stretch into early evenings; NEOUS’s newly live sale with 30% off across its leather-heavy lineup, the Aries east-west bag; the return of Dermstore’s summer sale, with Therabody red light masks among the 25% off spread with SUN at checkout; and 40% off Emilia Wickstead Resort 26 with VIP40, a few-and-far-between markdown on some of the brand’s sweetest SFW dress silhouettes.

Home sales

• Everything at 1stDibs is up to 60% off for the design lover’s sale—jewelry, art, furniture, fashion—and the range is as expansive as expected. Shopping vintage is in the eye of the beholder, so here’s my (Maya’s) aspirational cart: pink disc pendant light reminiscent of Paco Rabanne paillettes, an Adrian Pearsall lounge chair (marked down to $3,700 from $5,000), a denim Chanel maxi flap just because it’s hilarious, and a one-of-one Chuck Close print created with rubber stamps. Even these rarities see 20% reductions, which is not nothing—especially when we’re going e-antiquing.

• Babe wake up…it’s up to 70% off at Parachute (and the percale bedding is included). It’s Parachute, so everything is fantastically soft and wonderfully made. The steepest discounts are on linen fitted sheets, priced down to $31 from $140). It’s the kind of sale that makes re-evaluating your own linen closet a fun experience.

• Lulu and Georgia’s Memorial Day event offers up to 30% off, with additional 25% discounts at checkout on select items. The McPherson platform bed sees a significant drop once discounts are stacked, while smaller pieces like lambswool throws follow (it’s worth looking at the prints for a pop of texture to your spaces). Last night I hosted a dinner with Strathberry, trading the coves of my Caribbean travels 🏝️🏝️🏝️ from the days prior for Flynn McGarry's West Village restaurant, Cove 🍴🍴🍴.

I’ve written about the Scottish heritage leather goods brand since my legacy media days—I’m sure you could dig up some of those ancient scripts by searching variations of “Meghan Markle Strathberry InStyle”—but a lot changes in a decade, and with the brand arriving in New York with a permanent retail space very soon, its current transmission is sleeker. My oxblood Kite Hobo bag seen below is case in point, with plenty of enviable styles spotted around the room: the chocolate suede Kite Maxi being first-in-line theft bait and the teensy new Corda Mini Bucket almost edibly cute.

Strathberry’s founder Leeanne and I talked a lot of nonsense last night (the good kind!) but decidedly sensical was her belief that quality design doesn’t have to be out of reach. Her bags, all handmade in Ubrique Spain, never cross the $1,000 line.

Kimberly’s latest feels like an antidote to the over-branded activewear boom: the logos are matte, tonal, nearly hidden in plain sight. Pieces like the dipped legging and plunge tank are engineered to show off toning gains, while the T-back triangle bra has the sort of flexibility required for any class taken in a studio. Fuller coverage options, like the racer back bra, round out the offering without sacrificing the collection’s streamlined energy.

• The first look at Khaite PF26 is here, for pre-ordering any pieces on your “must secure” list. Beige-on-beige emerges as a subtle (and brilliant) proposition of the season: the loose-tension Wendy sweater paired with the Astrid skirt somehow reanimates the exhausted paper-bag waist through sheer material contrast alone.

• Summer’s new wave of softer leather bags has arrived, and both Liffner and Jude have the category covered from opposite ends of the spectrum. Liffner’s High Summer drop includes pushlock clutches in punchy texture-color combos (we love the chartreuse) alongside belted bucket bags intentionally designed to wrinkle and crease with wear. Jude introduces the Gaia: a nubuck envelope bag punctuated with mixed-metal hardware. • Nicholas Daley x Glenlivet arrives as a luxury resortwear capsule celebrating the launch of the liquor brand’s 12-Year-Old Jamaica Edition whisky. This collaboration with the Scottish-Jamaican designer makes sense without trying too hard to prove it. The collection includes a relaxed, matching cabana-style shirt and relaxed tailored short set, plus two genius accessories: a silk bandana and a hand-crocheted bottle carrier (for the Glenlivet, of course).

• The Studio Nicholson men’s Summer Module collection comes in as the unofficial uniform for someone who always knows the best café or vacation spot before anyone else catches on. The pops of green are especially good here (just on-trend enough) seen in the Heddy quarter-zip, which balances nicely against pieces like the Fowld linen short.

• Jaques’ Tennis collection 008 is here and ready to dandify the game with some of the sharpest performance wear currently orbiting the sport. The big one is the cashmere stretch trousers, cut from an Italian lightweight, functional fabric for movement while still looking lounge-worthy courtside. The natural tennis polo also deserves mention for its wood-based renewable fiber blend and natural cooling properties.

• Jenni Kayne x Business & Pleasure’s outdoor furniture collection is a combination of brand codes: JK’s neutrals, B&P’s signature Hollywood Regency stripes. Take the WES sofa in California stripe; you can go all in and match a sun umbrella, towel, and throw pillows, contrast with Pacific stripe, or just lean into a softer grey-brown-sage palette like the director’s chair in Grove. Options!

• The IKEA PS 2026 collection continues the line’s original 1995 mission of democratic design: form, function, quality, sustainability, and low prices all bundled together like some impossible Scandi magic trick. It’s colorful and a little kooky; see this inflatable chair in a sophisticated yet playful wintergreen, and this lava-lamp-like low pile rug. (One of the brand’s best pieces, in my opinion.)

I’m in Saint Martin this week with Belmond and Substack, which calls for a suitcase audit. And I feel like I nailed it, considering I brought only a European-sized Rimowa carryon, a quarter of which is occupied by clothes I’m shooting for a brand project while I’m here.

Three bikinis: the island-print Pech World one with the best fit I’ve found in years. The gaudy Gucci that serves my particular sense of chavvy, blingy beach glam (it’s got metal hardware!!)—this took me through an “I need this, why did I buy this, actually I LOVE this” cycle. And my all-black mash-up of Kye Intimates bottoms and Tropic of C top I default to for the sauna; someone stopped me on my way out at SAA last week to ask me where it’s from.

Perfect plasticky sunglasses from Polo Sport. Need more of this from them.

Four out of five of us here brought our H-O-R-S-E Sport shorts and / or track pants. Hi Sue.

Two black dresses for dinners—my most precious vintage slip I just mended and a Tom Ford racerback knit. One accessorizes with a chunky gold Completedworks necklace, the other with Love Stories animal-print lingerie!!! ← I know summer is my season because I love exactly this kind of dressing.

ALSO hanging in the absurdly ample closet in my room here is a smattering of Comme Si, including the new Hermés-y deep-V poplin shirt in Grecian blue and La Boxer Alta in navy, which make a fine set.

My sunscreen. My color-protecting leave-in conditioner. Everything gets worn with flip flops (jelly Christopher Esber, minimal TKEES) or my spotty Manolos.

• Thistles SS26 is here, and includes some core restocks (see: the Atlas wraparounds) as well as some sleek new silhouettes (see: the built-for-speed Lex). In other news, there’s been a price jump over at Thistles; shades used to go for $300 max, now they’re in the $365–$400 range. This season the brand has decided to shift production to a family-owned factory in the North of Italy (that also manufactures eyewear for Celine and YSL), so it’s safe to say that any increase in price will also translate to quality.

• Sea’s PF26 collection has arrived online, and it’s just as delicate as it is season-bending, with silhouettes that will transition from a May shortline breeze to late August heat. The standout is easily the Gardener set, with its intricate floral embroidery and eyelet details running across both the straight-leg pant and LS blouse, a ‘fit that recalls heirloom linens translated for today. That same sensibility carries into the Eleannora midi dress, and the Adonna fabrication; all cutouts and paneled lacework. This collection is an adaptable take on folksy dressing, that doesn’t feel costumey.

• Cawley’s second bridal collection has launched, with the same made-to-order romance that makes its ready-to-wear feel instantly collectible. The Cawley bride is fearless and vintage-minded—whether in the slubbed silk Heidi jacket or a smocked-sleeve fishtail dress that somehow channels Charlie Chaplin-vaudeville in…a sexy way. From the cascading layers of the Gracie veil, to ribbons upon ribbons of tulle and silk dupion, the second bridal offering from the brand is an instant classic.

• The latest arrivals from OSSOU are all no-frills tailoring and genuinely fun details: crisp clothes that feel straightforward until something slightly odd catches the eye. Take the Ranger and Arroyo shirts, pieces that pair brown crinkled satin with multicolored buttons for added swagger. Elsewhere, there are easy mid-rise jeans (in fun washes to boot), a sharply cinched denim shirt, and the cheeky Maeve, which lands somewhere between a cropped trench and a bolero.

• No, not a Melissa collaboration—Jimmy Choo’s latest jelly drop is its own PVC dream. The retro plastic shoe revival continues here in heel form, alongside new shades of the brand’s crystal-studded denim degradé jelly ballerina flats, where the embellishment mirrors the ombré fade on the body of the shoe, like inedible hard candy. The real star is the jelly drop 50: a 50mm heeled jelly mule with a textured sole and molded toe that go full Polly Pocket. Beyond silver glitter, there’s a lagoon blue and amber-toned version (which is reminiscent of these Kinto glasses, btw).

• There’s also: Jamie Haller’s new cufflink studs, pairing big-and-small sizes like mother-and-child (Magasin loves moms); Tiffany & Co.’s Hidden Garden high jewelry collection, a Jean Schlumberger-inspired fantasia of jeweled flora and fauna that feels almost too ornate for daylight; Lemaire’s nubuck leather croissant bags, whose suede-like finish somehow makes the cult favorite look even more lived-in and pastry-like under an arm; and UGG’s Summer Harmony collection, turning stormcloud-hued, rain-approved sheepskin into the kind of footwear best paired with wet pavement and a flower-vase-sized iced coffee.

• The Marlin collection from Tod’s feels like sailing around Capri in immaculate New England boating clothes (specifically aboard a Marlin boat, to remain titular). The wardrobe centers around Italian-made leather boat shoes, an easy relaxed Oxford shirt intentionally cut to hang untucked, and oversized canvas and leather totes designed for all conceivable boating supplies. This is clothing for afternoons involving Campari-heavy drinks, varnished wood decks, and conversations about masts.

• Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s new lifestyle and interiors brand Mémoire launched today, positioned between art gallery-adjacent and moodboard-worthy domestic homewares. The debut assortment is very Meghan Markle-coded, with handblown monogrammed glass candles, a bespoke secret garden illustrated stationary set, and leather journals—all fit for a life tucked away in a hillside manor.

• Away and Amtrak are now in cahoots, aiming to add glamour to train travel. The partnership includes the Topside luggage, a suitcase that works like a top-load washing machine, with a patent-pending wheel brake system. And, for a limited time, book a first class Acela trip by June 23 with Amtrak, and any new Away customers get a 15% off discount code for their first purchase.

Greetings from Magasin’s first second news send of the week! The weather is great and we’ve been drinking out of coconuts every morning.

• Net-A-Porter just dropped a capsule of Khaite exclusives, including a very Khaite take on a neon coral. The fluorescent pink-orange hue arrives in the satin-twill Timy camisole which, when paired with the matching Robbie shorts, lands somewhere between hotel pajama dressing and downtown dinner attire. And then there’s the Milly pump—a whipstitched topsider kitten heel that is a cheeky hybrid of trends. There’s still that brand-safe severity in pieces like the Poppi satin blouse and the white denim Kendra skirt.

• Primark opens its Herald Square flagship on May 8 with a little downtown seasoning courtesy of…Maryam Nassir Zadeh. The retailer partnered with the designer, who’s previously collab’ed with J.Crew and BA&SH and now designs Paula’s Ibiza at Loewe, on “The Herald,” a limited-edition Primark-blue bag with a glass charm by Genarro Pepe Ciller. It’s not for purchase and only available in limited quantities at the opening; a smart incentive strategy if we’ve ever heard one. • The latest wave of The Row accessories is coming in, with standout pieces reading beach club parking lot in the South of France. At Net-A-Porter, the Malick leather sandals use a simple toe strap to tap the ’90s. Over at MyTheresa, the India 12.00 and Georgia totes reinterpret raffia-adjacent resort bags through leather and woven canvas, practical enough for poolside hauling.

• Bergdorf Goodman has launched the seventh installment of its Radar initiative, the retail incubator first introduced in 2019 to spotlight next-gen designers. This season’s class includes All Three, Attersee, and Kartik Research. A personal spotlight on the newest Attersee: The sky-blue cocoon shirt lands exactly where louche shirting should—boxy, sharp, relaxed without collapsing. Its lightweight wool slouch pants deserve attention; layered properly, the elastic waistband disappears into well-tailored trousers.

• A lot happening in the Miuccia-verse right now. • There’s also: Fara Homidi’s luxe puffer vegan leather makeup bag, (the Margiela Glam Slam was definitely on the moodboard); Aureum’s bejeweled limited-edition summer belt collection; the return of Birkenstock x Proenza Schouler, complete with contrast-stitched Arizona and Milano sandals; Jamie Haller’s latest signet-heavy jewelry collection; a limited edition LIÉ Studio x LESSE leather lip balm pendant; and MyTheresa’s applique-forward Manolo Blahnik high-summer exclusives, destined for anyone still spiritually aligned with Carrie Bradshaw’s fictional footwear spending habits.

• Saman Amel’s Resort SS26 ready-to-wear launches online in limited quantities, continuing the Stockholm label’s ongoing campaign for tailoring that screams “expensive” before anyone even checks the fabrication. We’re talking raw silk jackets (the high neck on the Nehru jacket is gorgeous), deerskin slippers, washed silk shorts and trousers.

• Another season, another highly convincing argument for Junya Watanabe MAN’s longstanding partnership with Mackintosh, still the gold standard of British rainwear. This latest nylon-laminated rain mac arrives with silver hardware, a crisp technical finish, and a blue gingham lining.

• Petra Hardware just launched Fundamentals, the brand’s first-ever in-house collection of knobs and pulls inspired by both modernist and ancient sculptural forms. Fortunately, the pieces stop short of feeling overly precious. The Stalos arc pull turns a generic rental drawer into something gallery-like, the Barbara knob gives builder-grade cabinetry a more fun sense of intention.

• There’s also: Savette’s saddle-colored leather home objects; Autumn Sonata’s Hanna bathrobe in graphic olive-and-cream mosaic cotton; and July’s updated Capsule carry-on pro luggage with lockable wheels, engineered specifically for avoiding rogue collisions at JFK.

Happy first Tuesday in May. Working for yourself means not having to do anything related to the Met Gala or Devil Wears Prada 2 or “institutions” just generally that you don’t want to. Whatever earnestness I had has been worn down by my inbox these last few weeks, which is in a similar state to when “Love Story” came out and everyone from Lunya to uhhh Boot Barn (?) was yelling at me about CBK—except with the Met Gala, it’s just a running list of who’s getting their bag.

• Post–Met Monday, the afterglow lingers in retail form. The Met Store’s latest drop translates the Costume Art exhibition spectacle into objects: a silk scarf by Tory Burch, and standout oddities like Thom Browne’s wooden nesting dolls (dressed in the grey TB uniform, mind you). John Derian’s anatomical decoupage trays add a cabinet-of-curiosities note. It’s fashion as art, rerouted neatly into fashion as art as commerce; perfect gift shop offerings.

• Toteme’s PF26 is an alternate universe where beige can contain multitudes. Desert, chai, oyster—each registers as its own mood. A linen column dress anchors the lineup with a sharp, dress-up-or-down POV, while the contour nappa slingbacks in desert and a twisted jersey halter in chai possess completely different attitudes in their undertones. Even the drawstring jacket in oyster carries its own weather system.

• Linda Fargo’s latest edit for Bergdorf Goodman is as polished as it is dripping with personality. A cheetah-print Saint Laurent hobo shares space with Balenciaga’s flouncy purple balloon dress and towering Gucci horsebit platforms. There’s room for Khaite’s Marlow sandal, proving that even Fargo’s taste for ‘90s-style minimalism contains a bit of sculptural eccentricity.

• Tory Burch names its summer collection “Splash,” and the mood follows suit with ocean-blue sequined mesh dresses and a saturated marine version of the suede Miller sandal. Flowered tanks and shell pendants build out a wardrobe that reads beach-bound (without any allegiance to a particular shoreline, all coasts matter). The campaign, fronted by Alex Consani in full sun-bleached effect, suggests salt-textured hair as the final touch.

• Dôen’s Seaside Capsule lands somewhere between the flavor of nostalgia found on postcards and a uniform for a practical beach escape. The Cadiz Foulard print appears in navy and green iterations across unstructured tops and swim, while cotton-silk voile dresses like the Juliet and Joliane move easily with coastal air.

• A fresh run of thong sandals arrives as a reliable marker of summer (or at least the intent to find it). Xero Shoes x J.Crew revisits the barefoot bungee silhouette, the utility thong. Le Monde Beryl offers a more ornate take, threading beads across the satin toe strap like your foot’s wearing some form of prayer beads. And Madewell x Melissa goes full nostalgia, reviving jelly textures with the practical magic of a simple flip-flop.

• Leandra Medine Cohen expands her collaboration with Aflalo with lab-grown diamonds in saturated hues—amethyst earrings and mosaic-like necklaces set in warm gold. Meanwhile, J.Hannah’s Ceremony collection turns all the attention to the hand, with signet and cabochon rings, and minimal bands that feel almost wedding-adjacent.

• Vivrelle expands upward with Privée, an invite-only tier priced at $800 per month, extending access to rarefied inventory—think Birkin variations and Van Cleef & Arpels on rotation. The platform, once framed as a pragmatic answer to occasion dressing, continues its evolution into something closer to a circulating archive of status objects.

• MyTheresa’s hidden pre-reservation platform offers early access to PF26, allowing key pieces to be secured before any unfortunate sell-through. It’s a controlled preview of what’s next: zany Dries Van Noten tailoring, Tom Ford office siren pencil skirts, Khaite’s forward-thinking takes on leather pants, each available for those willing to commit ahead of the curve.

• Aureum’s summer handbag edit centers on two silhouettes—the Cassandra clutch and Vittoria tote—reimagined in high-gloss croc embossing and saturated tones. The emerald Cassandra stands out as a particularly rich green. Priority lies on texture and finish, rather than hardware theatrics. Long live the logo-less purse!

• There’s also: Havaianas x The Devil Wears Prada 2, a four-piece flip-flop drop tied to the sequel—the puffed pairs have a particular charm; Studio Nicholson’s Summer Module ’26, all sharp shoulders and boxy precision, with the Carpi top leading; EDL’s latest “Take Off Your Clothes” vintage tee drop, predictably gone in minutes (at least the cap and beach towel remain); a midsummer capsule from Acne Studios, sun-faded and slightly undone, with bloomers making (what I think is) a final bow; Skims’ Riviera collection, dialing up heat with cut-outs and saturated reds; and lululemon’s new yoga and Pilates drop, leaning deeper into studio-as-lifestyle territory.

Men’s releases

• Jamie Haller extends its signature penny loafer construction into menswear, offered in four leather finishes from oxblood to suede. The Italian Sacchetto technique delivers that close, like-a-glove fit the brand is known for.

• Engineered Garments revives Converse’s Weapon silhouette from its brief late-’80s run, bringing it back in two pared-back colorways with subtle contrast hits (see: the adjustable Y-bar straps around the ankle yoke). The result is a deep-cut retrofitted for everyday wear, not so much about performance, more about sneakerhead dap from those who know the original.

• Carter Young continues its tailoring refresh with new unstructured blazers. The Kirk, cut from deadstock wool, leans boxy with relaxed shoulders, while the Elias shares the unpadded shoulder, with more traditional buttons and lapel size. Together, they push tailoring more towards comfort, without sacrificing fit.

Home releases

• Gardenheir carries forth the horticultural ritual deserving of a uniform. The Japanese typewriter chemise in celery and Le Laboureur French moleskin shorts dress it, while tools—from Sneeboer sets to Niwaki Higurashi secateurs—complete the picture.

• There’s also: LIÉ Studio’s travel capsule, outfitting transit with polished leather passport covers and luggage tags; Louis Poulsen’s PH 1/1 portable lamp, Pinterest’s darling now unplugged; and Oishii’s spring jams, hyper-engineered strawberries turned spreadable (the rhubarb is the one).

• &Daughter’s private sale delivers a solid trove of knitwear at roughly 30% off, spanning wear-every-day to once-in-a-blue-moon finds. The Emer cashmere t-shirt is a favorite among the essentials, while the Ava argyle cardigan taps into a familiar, slightly collegiate mood—very Seth Cohen-coded for those who recognize it.

• The Magniberg Spring Clean event reads like a full inventory reset, with discounts ranging from 60–80%. Lace pajama sets and matching shams deliciously blur the line between wardrobe and home. The poplin sleep shirts (was: $172, now: $69) are also a great cop; a flag to those already clued in to long-time rival Tekla… (no shade).

• Gemsun’s archive sale feels like a note passed around a friend group—select pieces at 50% off, including the Frei skirt belt and sample garments like silk-wrapped pants. A trip down down memory lane, but with 50% off the whole way to your destination.

• Helmut Lang’s early access sale offers up to 60% off across a range of fluid tailoring and layered pieces. The shawl apex blazer and halter vest dress stand out, though the real opportunity lies in rethinking co-ord pieces—separates gain more interest when styled away from their original pairings.

• By Far’s mid-season sale offers a nice 20% off current pieces, with a focus on color palette. The Kimberly bowler in smoky mint croc (marked down to $368 from $460) embossing feels primed for quick exit, while the Prudent sneaker in deep purple invites unexpected color pairings. Power clashing will be rewarded in this sale!

I’ve come into custody of a few great pieces that tell me my wardrobe is entering a new season. Not just “spring,” but a whole new cast of well-developed characters that will reveal their sensibilities and explore inter-behavioral dynamics over the course of a riveting series of episodes.

Right now as I write this, I’m wearing many in-universe favorites: my Cristaseya cashmere pants, &Daughter v-neck sweater, H-O-R-S-E tee. But with them, a few types you get the feeling you haven’t seen the last of…Herbert Levine satin mules, Thistles sunglasses, a deeply important Versace bag.

I’m going to abandon this metaphor now (you get the idea). Some other new arrivals that, spoiler alert (ok now abandoning metaphor), are the ones that will show up again and again in my outfits are:

• These Dresen mid-rise, straight-leg black jeans, a new brand by Becca Rosen who designed for Uniqlo U by Lemaire, Ralph Lauren, and Helmut Lang for years. My most impactful denim discovery since Olga Basha.

• A Pech World bikini I discovered through Spencer Malinsky, ex-Tory Burch-er who designed the print. Skimpy, highly flattering bottoms.

• Rohé two-tone dress that’s easier and more flats-fitting than one would think.

What’s new

• More from Louise Trotter’s Bottega Veneta has landed at Net-A-Porter, Bergdorfs, Saks, brand’s own site, etc., rounding out her already explorationally luxe yet consumer-forward vision for the brand. Take the Sampieri thong sandal and gathered paneled silk-taffeta tank for example; these pieces offer a ’90s sensibility that is as conceptual as it is shoppable, yet they live alongside the concentrated opulence that is this feathered intrecciato bag (“!” doesn’t even begin to describe it). A personal favorite from SS26 is the Intrecciato-trimmed cotton-twill car coat, a nod to the house heritage woven leather technique, integrated into a piece skimming trends, while not succumbing to them.. Cathy Horyn may have questioned (skewered) Trotter’s POV (or, in her words, lack thereof) during MFW FW26, but on the e-shop floor, it reads well.

• Calvin Klein Collection SS26 has arrived in stores, and the appeal of its runway clarity holds. Under Veronica Leoni—who presented another absolute banger—the Cordelia jacket and Eva pants form a convincing boxy suit, while the Camille jacket bares just enough bra to keep it interesting. Shirting stands out, too: the Scarlett plaid and especially the pink Sophie feel like instant closet classics.

• Gap x Victoria Beckham is a meeting of Sporty and Posh, so to speak. High-rise straight jeans and a matching cropped jacket lead the denim charge, and while the trench coat lingers, a rain Mac turned mini dress quickly sold out. (Gap, if you are hearing this, it is restock time!)

• COS returns with its annual summer in the city edit, an annual study in metropolitan dressing for warm weather that gets newly specific with each passing year. I call this season “non-normie normie,” like the uncanny valley of shirt-and-pants dressing: pieces that appear basic at first glance, then reveal a twist. Even these elasticated grosgrain cotton shorts! A ribbed knit Henley-tank hybrid and draped pleated trousers with sweatpant-level comfort capture that slight eccentricity that makes everything click as just a little freaky.

• Old Stone Trade’s seventh edition turns to “the great outdoors,” spanning elevated Teva-adjacent Perception sandals and tweed camp shirts. The mix gets more personal with one-off knits, including a Fair Isle vest by local Fair Isle-specialist Olive MacLeod—a reminder that the “outdoors” here can cover as much aesthetically as it can terrain.

• Culture reporters might claim “the scene is so dead right now,” but Marc Jacobs remains positive with his new Scene bag. The slouchy-hobo concept scales three sizes: large for full collapse, medium for a roomy shoulder carry, small for a compact night option (no crossbody required). Pricing starts at $298. (Plus, the launch comes with a delightfully chaotic short film written by and starring Rachel Sennott.)

• Another Tomorrow introduces a nylon capsule built from 100% recycled, water-resistant fabrication. The short blouson folds into its own pocket (genuinely practical) while a weightier trench shows nylon’s range beyond pure utility, proffering a slick, slightly technical surface to your closet.

• Swimwear season, at long last. Montce x Elsa Hosk leans vintage with knotted bikini tops and high-drama one-pieces. Christopher Esber offers a beach-forward counterpoint, including a pared-back beach quartz bikini, a halter bandeau and skimpy brief adorned with natural stones. Meanwhile, Burberry x Hunza G deliver logo play via a marriage of the old guard iconic check print from Burbs and the new guard signature crinkle fabric from Hunza G. Two generations of British fashion innovation in one swim top.

• Cristaseya’s temporary online shop is back with crisp summer cottons and one-of-a-kind ceramics. From small column vases to Japanese cotton pajama pants and a classic collar shirt (this yellow is great), we’re going small-batch and breathable this season.

• A $3,200…clutch? Khaite introduces us to Blake: an east-west bag finished with 18k gold-plated empire hardware. It tracks with the broader move among logo-light labels to introduce higher-ticket accessories, placing them closer to the Bottega-Dior tier at a key moment of brand consolidation.

• There’s also: Claudent’s indigo stripe button-up, standard shirting in the brand’s new pattern that quietly doubles as sun armor with UPF 50+; Comme Si’s Deep V poplin rewrite, ditching buttons entirely for a plunge that feels a little louche, a little intellectual; Savette’s Net-A-Porter exclusives, refining the symmetry trapeze silhouette into some different colors; the Havaianas x Zara platform sandals, a flip-flop grown up with a sculpted sole and just enough height to call itself a platform; Ulla Johnson’s ULLA at Violet Grey, the designer’s first foray into fragrance with incense, candles, and perfume; and Helmut Lang SS26, where sheer bootcut trousers, an airy long-sleeve, and a twisted drape skirt (to name a few) push the label’s pioneering minimalist legacy into something less tense, and more fluid.

Men’s releases

• The Row’s spring menswear is steady as he goes, with a bit more skin in play now that the temperature is beginning to rise. The Borges top and Sayed short lighten things up fabric-weight-wise, while the Morand top’s featherweight cashmere and buttonless collar mature the brands existing minimal formula.

• Select items from Giorgio Armani’s Archivio project are now shoppable on MyTheresa, and the selection is good. Archivio is a retrospective project dedicated to honoring the history of the brand that can be further explored on the Armani website proper. Some standout pieces from the Armani annals are this SS90 blazer, and a silk bomber that’s a nod to the FW83 original.

• Carter Young returns with new suiting shapes for SS26, continuing its offbeat tailoring language. A suede western shirt and Big Ben trousers (in jean and chino) set the tone, while the Andover jacket’s exaggerated lapels show the brand’s knack for dialing up one detail at a time, never everything at once.

• There’s also: Aaron Levine x Zara, a high-fashion “Where’s Waldo?” moment complete with red-and-white stripes that feel knowing; JW Anderson’s summer series capsule, where beaded bulb bags, ruffled boat shoes, and crocheted fruit charms get playful while remaining “fashion”; and Studio Nicholson’s summer module ’26 that’s billowy all around—denim included.

Home releases

• Lemaire expands into home fragrance with Objets Senteur—five ceramic forms paired with four fragrances. Think those reed diffusers that were popular in 2008 but reimagined as collectible objects (like this one called Apple), each tied to scents like cardamom earth or amber hay. At €540 (~$632 USD) they double as decor, drawing from the late French sculptor Annie Fourmanoir’s clay practice.

• There’s also: Knownwork’s Perceptions catchall, a custom-molded glass tray that would look, like, so good on a plinth if you’ve got one; Flamingo Estate’s Goat Shed Box, the spring 2026 seasonal subscription box steeped in the mythos of the brand’s scent laboratory; and July’s capsule carry-on pro (very Courrèges-coded) alongside Rimowa’s orange and magenta drops, making a strong case for luggage-as-statement-piece while traveling.

A touch of High Touch

• Budding longevity brand Climatic debuts its first product, the L Max, an inhaled lung-health system designed for daily use. Slightly dystopian, undeniably intriguing: 80% of users reported HRV improvements after two weeks. The starter kit is $95, with a $55/month subscription. For anyone attempting to quit smoking, the pitch is clear, even if a bit sci-fi-adjacent.

• Kohler x Remedy Place introduces an at-home ice bath merging Kohler ergonomics with Remedy Place founder Dr. Jonathan Leary’s social wellness approach. Temperature on the bath ranges from 39–104°F, with an integrated timer designed to facilitate guided breathwork sessions while cold plunging.

• There’s also: Typology’s wrinkle-targeting mask set, five reusable silicone patches paired with a 7% peptide complex, with a vaguely futuristic face-mapping effect; and OneSkin’s OS-01 Lip SPF, a longevity-minded lip sunscreen powered by peptides that you’ll actually want to wear.

• Nour Hammour’s private sale (password: ‘Unreleased’) opens the archive: one-off press pieces, prototypes, and samples. Highlights include curved-leg suede trousers for $1,200, a $264 fur hat, and sample-size shearling skirts (priced sub-$600, mind you).

• Net-A-Porter quietly rolls out 40% off Toteme for a little private sale, discount applied at checkout. A striped poplin shirt drops to $276, runway satin pumps to $470, and a curved wool-blend turtleneck to $336…for Toteme.

• Indie multi-brand retailer Frances May celebrates its 18^th birthday with 30% off sitewide (code: 18YEARS). If it were a person, it could vote, get a tattoo, and buy a lottery ticket. This is a great opportunity to scoop some new arrivals on sale—Anntian pants, this Injiri slip—as well as rarely discounted swim brands like Nu Swim.

• Bergdorf Goodman’s spring wardrobe sale takes 25% off new-season collections, prompting a practical closet reshuffle. Case study: This Jil Sander skirt dips below $900, and a Dries Van Noten wrap dress lands just under $800.

• Cecilie Bahnsen offers 30% off with CBACCESS, spanning the coveted sneakers (like the beaded Blaise) and fluffy dresses (i.e, the Cristina).
